Had a heart ablation on Monday the 17th.

Hey all you nc4x4 health nuts, The 6th annual Mt Afton Challenge is coming up Jan 17.
I hope you’ll join us!

This year's event is a fundraiser for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention services. Thru the F3 Foundation, F3 Afton will donate funds raised for this event to the Cabarrus County Chapter of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Run, ruck, or walk, it’s only 2 hours and you-vs-you.

So my son bought me a fancy Garmin watch for a Christmas present.
Its been interesting looking at some of the stats.
I have averaged burning 3000 calories a day for the past week.
Today I peaked at 13678 steps today. Almost 7.2 miles. Didn't consider it to abnormal for the days activity compared to most. Actually average and spent a few hours crammed in the pump house of a fire engine fighting 3 inch plumbing with a 48 in pipe wrench with a 6 foot cheater on it.
Five days in the last week have been over 7 kilometer days.

Kinda got me wondering how accurate the data could be? I really have enjoyed peaking at it. The best part is comparing the numbers with my spouse. She seems sorta dumb founded. Its my latest "well you know why I come home tired and eat everything in site".

I have also started a new vitamin regimen. Feel over all a little better and the best news is my knees and leg aren't aching as terribly.

Still eating four to five times a day. Breakfast sandwich home made biscuit, egg, bacon. Mid morning snack protein bar or mix of carrots and cucumber.
Lunch is usually a meal prep of rice and a meat or pasta and a meat. Often left overs from a home cooked meal.
Afternoon noon snack is crackers and cheese, or a mix of grapes and blueberries (little piece of candy or chocolate).
Last meal is Supper. 6 out of 7 days is a home cooked meal.
Bad about eating Nutella straight from the jar with ginger bread cookies round 8:30 while spending time with the wife watching what ever our current binge is on Netflix.

I found the steptracker on my Fitbit watch to overstate compared to my phone by about 10-15%. I assume part of that is my watch always being on whereas my phone is only on me 95% of the time, and the other 5-10% being misinterpreting wrist motion as steps.

I'm still using the elliptical and stationary bicycle in the gym at my work regularly and my cardiovascular shape feels very good. I was off work for two weeks over the holidays, and we took a couple of nice bicycle rides on good weather days. One on the Neuse River Trail, and one on the New River Trail. We also hiked a couple of local trails. I'm still trying to ease back into lifting weights after my neck injury in Sept of 2024. I can't do much or a end up in pain the following days. It is very depressing.

I stayed out! Didn't want any assumptions about my data😬.

Got 9557 steps and 9.3 k today. Something doesn't add up. I worked mostly around the same apparatus today. Pulling a bunch of it apart. 3000 gallon tanker with three dump chutes and a crap ton of tear down to remove.

Would sustained use of a 1/2 inch impact for a solid 5 minutes barely getting a lunet ring to move have an effect?😂 How about finally succeeding only to budge the other with a four foot pipe wrench and me standing on it bouncing (220lbs)...giving up and getting the one inch tire gun out and hammering for another 5 to remove the second unit.

Just finished assembly on my sauna. Always wanted one and had the opportunity to try this one out at my buddy’s place in Colorado. Sold by Sam’s Club. Requires LOTS of assembly, but I’m thoroughly impressed by its design, quality, and fit & finish. Highly recommend!

I want one really bad. The last company I worked for had a steam room in the gym and I got hooked
You should definitely check one of these out. Comes with the bucket and ladle to really bring on the steam if that’s what you want. I’m curious to see how different it operates here in the south with unlimited humidity vs what my buddy has to do in the mountains of Colorado.

I feel like going outside from June-August here is about the same as a sauna in Colorado. I think I'd rather have whatever a dry room with a dehumidifier is, haha!

I messed up my back a month ago lifting a bush to transplant it. I just didn't find out about it until 2 days later when I bent over to put my dogs leash on. I didn't slow down, tweaked it again 4 days later spreading 4 yards of mulch, still didn't learn my lesson and tweaked it again a week later taking my pants off the day after a 20 mile ride. I finally tried to do as little as possible over the past two weeks while wearing a back brace to protect it and let it heal. Any time I need to bend over now, I don't. I bend at the knees. Going to start easing back into it today. Getting old sucks.
