I’ve been replacing all the worn out shifter joints on my ambiguously gay duo car with fancy race car stuff only to look over and see the drivers side wheel cylinder leaking on the Jeep.
I briefly considered doing a disc brake swap then looked at pricing on swap kits.

I hate drum brakes.

Got the wrong seal out without dropping the skid! Now to wait on the correct one from advanced.

Got the XJ inspected today. They checked the headlight aim. Don’t think I’ve seen that done in decades. Then they left greasy fingerprints on the hood I didn’t notice til I got home

Got home from the beach today and immediately went and picked up a marketplace find just a few minutes from the house. Now to swap the Buckyeye Cage and 44 rear over to mine and see if i can get this one running

I should have some 1.75” tubing, I think it’s .120 wall, if you don’t find any closer to you.

Found a 4 inch piece of exhaust tubing at orielys that worked. Knocked off the proud spots on the weld to hopefully balance better, but I had a 1/4” gap that I welded hot

Got the alternator back from the rebuild shop; I accidentally cooked the regulator due to a faulty instrument cluster shorting out the charging circuit, battery was iffy but after setting on a good charge it's passing load tests.

Started in on my headlight wiring upgrade; adding relays and larger wire to take the load away from the switch and put 12V to the headlights. Going from 18Ga to 14Ga for the power leads and 12Ga for the grounds,

I'm still not 100% on the relay location, it'll be a bank of 4 relays controlling the high beams, low beams, 4-Hi, and fog lights. I'm torn between mounting them under the PCM or on the side of the underhood storage box; I'll probably make a little bracket to mock up for final fit.
I'm hoping to have the front end put back together in the next week or so; I'm stuck waiting on the proper weatherpack crimper and a few wiring supplies before I can get everything assembled
