Sweet thanks. It was mentioned there to go to msdos and type in ipconfig /flushdns to resolve it on your comp. You might have to restart as well.

I guess that tonight after 12 it will be back to regular? Said it takes 48 hours to reset...

what happen to pirate4x4 anyway?

This is my best guess.

Every computer on a network has an IP address. It's a lot like a regular address for your home in that it's a unique identifier for the machine. A router's job is to get the IP address from the Domain Naming System (DNS) and give your network traffic directions on how to get from your machine to pirate's machine. It looks like for one reason or another DNS didn't have the right IP address.

The way DNS works is that a few main servers have the IP address and all the other local DNS servers query it (roughly daily) to get make sure that their DNS info is up to date.

Bottom line: DNS had the IP address wrong. They probably changed it at pirate and it took a while for all the DNS servers around the world to get updated.

That's my guess anyway.

you are correct about the DNS info.. but they did forget to repurchase there domain.. when I looked at the domain name "who is" I saw that it HAD expired and the domain ragistrar was holding it for a 30 day grace period.. so I bet the e-mail address they had listed as there contact had changed and Lance did nto get notified..

I had had this happen to myself in the past.
