DAMN this thread blew up in a hurry! i'm taking it easy tonight, i gotta party my way across the country and back from tomorrow afternoon until next saturday.:flipoff2: i just can't do it like i used to though. i don't know if it's age, just being out of school, or what but i hit a wall now. it used to be nothing for us to have weekend long benders with no sleep. i'd die now.

lol I think I am dying now. Now that I think about it you were with us at Harlan too Ivan.

I know, man. For some odd reason, my back hurts like hell the day after drinking too much. Could it be the kidneys?

Did you forget the trailer jacknife story, too? Dayum Joel.

Oh fawk no. I will never forget how a trip from Raleigh to Harlan turned into an 18 hour fiasco. My gawd, they showed up just before the rest of us got up to wheel the first day of that trip. :driver:

Silly wabbits. "Why's there a stop sign on the interstate?" DOH!

Or something like that....

All I remember is looking at Shane at 5 am while waiting for them after consuming half a handle of Makers Mark and saying "I can't stay up any longer." and then pulling myfatself into the loft in one of the cabins.

I don't think I made it past 1am on any of the nights. Not due to overindulging, just wanting some decent rest for a change. Wheeling with a hangover brings the suck.

Still better than a wet weekend tentbound in Ohio. :)

yeah, that was one hell of a miserable trip, and ultimately what set me up to be mostly useless for the weekend. never could get my leg to feeling well enough to ride except for a couple short trips, despite pounding drinks and percocet all day both days.:flipoff2:

probably the worst road trip i've taken actually, and i've been on A LOT. terrible weather, messed up my new trailer drifting it, etc... the trailer thing was ultimately my fualt, but i'll be damned if that stop sign and bank on the other side of it didn't appear out of nowhere. i think i was the only one that even realized anything was going on until i tried to make the right turn at 20-25mph and the trailer came drifing around from one side of the truck all the way to the other.:flipoff2: oh well, could have been a lot worse. rigs tossed in the road, truck flipped or badly dented, etc... made me a firm believer in strapping things down well.

Yep, either your drifting skills are unparalleled, or you guys got lucky as hell. It could have been MUCH worse.

Never again my friend.....

I hope there is room for Dave and I in there in about a month.

lol I never felt more sorry for anyone in all my life than you Ivan. Poor bastard. You were laid up all day long just to drive those two turds up to Harlan. ;)

still awake?

If yes, then pour another and drink it down...

Tis all gone buddy. Which is one more reason why we all lose with state controlled liquor sales. Where I went to college you could buy whatever you wanted 24/7/365 and you knew a private business owner was reaping the profits and not the state. Having to be competitive will do amazing things for alcoholics.

haha... it still beat the hell out of sitting at home. thankfully, the return trip was as smooth as it could be.
