I'm not that old (32) and I remember Piedmont Airlines. I took several trips on them back in the day. I even have my "Wings" they gave me as a kid!Now my son has them.
Nice collection. Dad grew up in Thomasville...and we still have a home there. My grandfather had a Taylorcraft he used to fly all over the Triad. Still have the prop and one Lycoming valve cover.
I'm glad you have good memories of them! Unfortunately I wasn't born till 90', so I never knew Piedmont, but I love aviation! The reason I asked that question is because my grandfather was Bill Howard, who was the CEO if Piedmont. One of you asked who he was lol! He used to live in Winston Salem. 
I still get to occasionally work on a few of those turds. A Volvo v6 is what powers them, 88mph is about all shes got.
