The Big Annual Uwharrie May Jam is coming up!

Memorial day weekend just like last year (May 28-30), don't miss NC's biggest Off-Road Racing Event of the year, there is something for any type of Off-Road Enthusiast to compete in and a great show for spectators!

We have cleared out a great deal of viewing area to better serve the spectators, we will have announcing for all events especially the High Speed Race. The Racers actually get to start on the dragstrip and launch down the track right in front of the crowd, as well as come flying through the finish in front of the crowd as well!

We are also adding quite a bit of length and obstacles to the track!

Wish you got to see more racing action last year? Both the High Speed Race and the Double Points Mud Race will be a two day, two round event! First day is qualifying, second day top 5 of each class will be coming back to claim the win and the $$!

There will be over $10,000 worth of payouts over the weekend with a very high possibility of $11,500 and maybe even more!!!!!!

We even brought the pro entry fee in the High Speed Off-Road Race down and raised the payouts in the Pro Class! Over $4300 payouts just in the Pro class of the High Speed Race!

The website will be updated shortly for Competitor Info and Early entry, save a lot of $ by preregistering!

Made some great improvements! Built an additional Rock Crawl obstacle out of several large loader Tires and a few of the Culvert pipes, so now there are two Rock Crawls!

We also added a large amount to the high speed race track and changed a large number of the jumps and obstacles throughout the course!

Things are shaping up quite nicely for the 2010 season, can't wait!

Last year several racers wanted more than one shot - now's your chance. Top 5 to race on Sunday. Now you got to keep your junk together to race again. I think its a great idea and help level the field between the beaters and the race rigs.

So who's racin?
Hell I might even race

Sorry man forgot you posted up, yea he doesn't really know how to use a computer, it's usually his secretary that posts for him.

All the payout stuff is on the website http://4x4cross.com/2010MayJam.html

It's based on entries per class just like the last two years, 15 being a full class - believe there was 14 pro's last year, 19 stockers, and not sure on the stock mod class but it was like 8 or 9 I think.

So only the stock mod class got prorated last year, cause 14 was close enough in pro so he paid it out in full.

I know he lowered the prices this year and added and additional $875 total to the pro class payouts.

Here's the info from the website:

PAYOUTS:
- Payouts dependant on 15 entry's per class, they will be
prorated for less entry's
- Payouts will reflect up to 40% in prizes donated by sponsors
60% cash - for example D class 1st place is $2500, so $1500
would be cash, $1000 would be prizes.
- When we say payout will reflect up to 40% we mean it could be
less depending on prizes donated by sponsors, but you will still
get your cash value, so for example if we only have enough
prizes to give a 20% prize 80% cash combo and you win D
class you would then receive $500 in prizes and $2000 in cash
- Worst case scenario we have no prizes you then would receive
full cash payout, so moral of the story, you'll get your prize $$ as
listed as long as there are 15 entry's per class
- Limit of 25 entry's per class

Stock Class entry fee: $90
1st place - $500
2nd place - $250
3rd Place - $125

Stock Mod Class entry fee: $150
1st place - $1000
2nd place - $500
3rd place - $250

Pro Class entry fee: $250
1st place - $2500
2nd place - $1250
3rd place - $625

The course will be a little different this year.
Much of it the same for A, B and Pro classes. Got a few more turns and the start is completly different and also so that we hopefully won't have Greg swimming again.
I'll try and get a video with Ricky again posted on the site like we did last year so people can see the course behind the wheel.
:driver: lets see some racers.

Will there be trophies this year:fuck-you:

Also thinking about entering A and B, will I need bigger than 31s for the race?
Wher you been Lorenzo? Have not seen you around with all the other Isuzu guys. How is life treating ya

Dang trophies, ha, yea I always say he'll get em then forget about it :shaking: Try and remember to tell him this time

For A and B, nah 31's will probably get you by, allthou you better be ready to hammer down at the new finish we added - Its doable, but requires commitment to tha skinny, aught to make for good footage :smokin:

Yeah Joe and Doug represent the Isuzus pretty well in the races. Me on the other hand don't have more than one rig to thrash. Plus my springs are about to take a crap in the rear. anyhow - Everytime I plan to go support the Zu crew somethin comes up.
But enough about me - Who's Racin?!
Remember Top 5 Race on Sunday!

Dang Straight, btw been discussing tippin the hat to the ECORS boys strategy and doing the staggered release multiple lap method of racing vrs time trial single lap style for the qualifying on Sat, everyone seems to enjoy that much better

Wont be a large amount of laps, thinking like 5 or 6 laps per class

Plus your gonna get to launch off down the dragstrip in front of the crowd this time to start, and with all the tree's we cleared out, you can literally stand on top of the rockpile and watch everything, I know where I'll be :driver:

Enough with the endurance racing, seriously the one reason I enjoy the stables race is the balls out factor. Plus the dust is so bad out there if you have multiple vehicles racing at once, peole aint gonna be able to see sh*t(spectators and drivers). It was hard enough to see last year after someone had went through the first turn. Seriously the race is awesome, lets keep it the way it is and have the fastest guys come back on sunday

Hmmm, I like what your saying . . . anyone else wanna weigh in? Get a few opinions before we settle on something - but I do like what your saying . . .

You know my Motto - Holdin It Wide Open and Looking For More Throttle :driver:

I still like the idea of lining yall up side by side and just dropping the flag and let her rip all at once - top 5 come back Sunday
