I recently came across around 80 acres of land in the hickory area that is perfect for an off road park. I am planning to offer an arena supercross trail for dirt bikes, and 4wheeler trails for all ages. Also planning to offer trails for rock crawlers and trail rigs. This land has a river running throught it that would be easy to access for the trail rigs and rock crawlers. Hoping that this would appeal to all audiences. Eventually we would offer camping, fishing, and a general assembly area for food to be sold, play pool and hang out. I would be looking to charge around $20.00 bucks a weekend for each vehicle. Let me know if this would be something that would give people a place to play and run a business out of.

Thanks

10$ a rig sounds a little more appealing.

$20.00 a weekend is not bad at all...Pretty CHEAP. Cant wait to here some more details. hope this takes off for ya...More places to wheel the better

$20 would be fine with me and half the distance to mtn city. You would get my business.

what part of hickory?
i see it being good for the rock crawlers/trail trucks....but are you not worried it won't be as big of a hit for bikes/4wheelers with Brushy Mountain park so close? you'd prob be better off making it more oriented for trucks.

I'm going to be the skeptic...

Where near Hickory?
How soon do you plan on opening?
I'd like to check it out and if needed or wanted, lend a hand(and possibly some equipment) to making some of the trails.

Also watch the whole river thing. The epa will shut something like this down really fast if water quality drops down river... With that being said, Rock on we need more places to wheel!!!

In. What kind/difficulty trails are you planning to build? Something a bit more challenging than Uwharrie would be nice considering the loss of Tellico. I'd definitely pay $20.

Sounds GREAT to me, I would definitely check it out. As stated, be sure to check on legalities, etc but if and when you open up I'm sure you will get lots of traffic from NC4x4 members. You said $20 a weekend which I assume would be $10 a day for Sat and $10 a day for Sun? IF you have 4wd trails that are challenging and fun, even $20 a day is not crazy out of line. I'm sure after operating for awhile you will find your price line that keeps the customers coming back. You could probably get some help from 4wd clubs to design and build if you were interested.

I am right there with ya,

We hear this a lot. There is a lot of people who are testing the waters to see if this is some thing that may be profitable. If you build the park that is challenging enough we will wheel it, Hell I would pay $20 to wheel a different course.

Let us know when this is closer to a reality.

basically "if you build it, they will come"

there is a big gap to fill with tellico being out of the picture. Hickory is a good area to capture some of that market.

I don't get too wheel as much as I thought I would when I bought my jeep. i would def. try to use it. Sounds like a great idea.

I'd be more than willing to help on the development of trails if this does become a reality.

Do you already own the land?
