Drive faster....[emoji41], if that don't work I'll take a break in the shade sitting on the tailgate with a cool beverage. What are your plans for heat in the cab? It's going to be hot. By the way awesome fab work.
It would me too if I was going to drive cross country, [emoji12] . It's actually more foot well than I had in the buggy (left to right) but I did have more length in it, and the engine was even further back in the buggy relative to the front axle. It's actually quite a comfortable position in the manche. I repositioned the seat from original mount, lower on rear mount, and turned the seat about 10° towards the A pillar to point my legs at the pedal better. In the buggy, my legs sat cock-eyed to my torso, which could get uncomfortable on long tail rides.I really think that would bother me to not have more foot room than that, but then again, it's not mine! Killer work, this thing is a work of art.

Yea, just a guess on the angle. It certainly gives me more room with full doors, and allows me to see around the B-pillar better.Alot of Kevin Carroll's buggys at red dot engineering are built like this. Some of his look like more than 10 degrees though....
Just curious but what do you do when you need to do engine work on it? Looks like it's in there for good......
Modular...like it.View attachment 227746
Pull the front axle, exhaust, headers, driveshaft, drop it like it's hot.....onto this little stand I made, then roll it outta the way.
Matt
Sure, but there will be insulated shielding.Massive engine. Don't You feel heat of the engine?
