With the motor in i need to relocate the alternator and a/c. Ive read that the TJ or WJ brackets are what i need, but after further research the YJ and ZJ bracket seem to work also. Anyone have experience with this?
with the ride height that i want mixed with the brackets that are already on the jeep, my rear lowers will be close to level at ride height. will that be ok?
nope. thinking about using the 16" airshocks i have for the rear and save up for coilovers. just wont street it much if any. what are the down falls on airshocks in the rear?
The coilover gets its spring rate from coils. The air shock gets its spring rate from nitrogen. To hold more weight you put more pressure. When you get off camber or take the weight off the shock they will try to expand completely. If there isn't weight to counter that it wont compress.
i actually got something accomplished. went to PAP and grabbed the alt relocation bracket and a np231.
the bracket is a ZJ/YJ bracket. i'm going to add a plate on the a/c mount cause i didnt grab the zj and i'm debating on adding the ac back.
i also added an extra pully that i think isnt supposed to be there. ahahahah after looking at all the different way to do this i might be mixed up.
went to PAP and installed the parts. on my way to charlotte it got dark but no rain, then cleared up. on my way home it looked like it rained but i didnt catch it.
took a saw-zall to some extra crap that needed removing. cage to frame tie-in, 3.5" diameter rocker guards, tube under body, no clue why it was there.
i'll be adding the 1" body lift soon.
and just to get this thing going faster and save some $$$$$. i'm goin to run leafs in the rear. cheap, simple, and fast. only tech thats needed haha. parts should cost me less then $200 from barnes 4wd. going to run stock xj leafs flipped. already have most parts for the tractionbar.
