All go and no show. This is a JEEP!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I bet it doesnt have the D35 in the rear anymore.

I'd really rather not get into this again but if you just call it a 4.0 people would assume its a stock engine. S&B'd 4.0 or 5.0L stroker are more appropriate.

When I read 693 hp and 780 ft lbs I knew it wasn't a stock 4.0. I doubt anybody else assumed it was a stock engine when they read that.

Im still going to call it a b&s turbo 4.0 tomorrow. nothing to worry about.
Briggs & Stratton? They have a great armored truck service.

What's stock about 693hp and 780 ft/lbs of torque, The fact the posted a link to the JP article should have cleared it up, Had I posted this I would have done the same. I guess that makes me a dumb ass also.

Had he put it was a 5.0, First thing I and many other would have thought was "Mustang engine". By him putting 4.0 that told me instantly that this was built off the inline six. Now should he have been more clear, Maybe, did it change the way we viewed the video, No.

In all honestly I believe this was a way you can show us how smart you are. Good Job. We now know that you have a vast knowledge of stroked engines, along with other things. Hints the user name.

I know they built that 690 hp 5.0 but Im not sure they put it in that jeep. They way I read it a while back was that was just a jeep they built not the high horse power engine. That engine was running over 20lbs of boost and the video doesnt sound like that. I would expect 700 hp to flip a stock wheelbase tj over backwards. Still cool as hell. And its still a 4.0l engine in my book no matter how much its punched out.

Not necessarily. I would have corrected you the same way and not have expected it to turn into a pissing match.

Simply calling it a 5.0 could easily lead to confusion. If you'll note, at no point in time did I ever refer to the engine as just a 5.0.

In all honestly (honesty) I believe this was a way you can show us how smart you are. Good J(j)ob. We now know that you have a vast knowledge of stroked engines, along with other things. Hints (Hence) the user name.

That wasn't the point, but I understand you taking up for your buddy. (I saw that you guys were friends on his public profile.). Since you're comfortable with my vast knowledge of "other things" I went ahead and corrected your syntax and grammar. Have a nice one!

Thanks, I needed to be Corrected, I would have replied the same had it been you that posted the info and mudder was being an ass

Oh BTW your now my master and I am your pupil

^HAH! Its cool Mike. I met you and your family at the toy run. I also kinda copied your upper 3-link mount. You're good people (although a little small to have been a QB on a HS state championship caliber team lol)

Agreed that the heep in the video is nowhere near 700 ft lbs. But the dyno numbers on the engine they built were pretty impressive, though I don't think it would last too long at that level.
I also agree that calling it a "4.0" is misleading. No one calls a 540 bbc a 454...why would this be any different?
