App State - ECU, Sept. 5th 09!

Im going.

Probably wont have tickets, probably wont have a place to stay, but nevertheless, Im going.

I went to the second national championship game this way (against UMASSholes)

Ended up 10 rows back from the 50 yard line, on the UMASS side, boy was that fun. Drunk as hell, talking shit in the middle of all their fans! Also ended up in a hotel with the band and cheerleaders :lol:

Worked well the last time, how can it NOT work in Greenville?!

Dont care if App wins or loses, its all about having fun in my book :beer:
 
Im ready for this....I think App State will tear them up. I am ready to see if WCU can give App a game this year but I don't care either way since all my family went to App State and myself and two cousins went to Western.

Also, about 1 hour downtown and about $20 for drinks and you'll have a place to stay (if your any sort of a halfway decent pimp), and it'll be with a female :D

Thats if you goto the bar at 12 or 1. Even at ECU's level of pure sluttiness the girls won't leave without maximizing their level of skanky drunkeness. I also have faith that our girls wouldn't touch the enemy on game day.

Everyone thinks our Michigan win was a fluke and a one hit wonder. How does everyone explain three consecutive National Championships? Were those flukes as well?

I'm still trying to figure out why a game 2 years ago against an unranked Michigan team is important now. I mean ECU beat a ranked Va Tech and WVU team last year. I really can't find any of your wins that impressive from last year. I mean I guess sc state was flawless in the meac last year lol. You guys def handed a 1-11 Chatanooga team their asses though lol
 
We are the underdogs, we are not suppose to win, so you are suppose to beat us... just remember that :) And you are paying us to come down there.

We were in the SOCON from 65-76 and were conf champs 4 times.
The socon was still 1a at the time. It went to 1-aa in 82. App joined the socon in 71 and during the 5 year period that we were in the same conf we had the conf title 3 years and you had it a big donut.

So your question is pretty rediculous. How about who was the last Nationally ranked opponent that App beat that wasn't just some rediculously pre seaon ranked bs? HMMMMMM

No matter what, we are in two seperate divisions. If you compare apples to apples we are one of the best teams in our division, I am not sure you can same the same.

Anyway, I am not going to convince you, and you are not going to convince me. I hope this turns into a rivalry that brings two of the most popular schools in the state together.

I love how you bring this up considering the last time we played each other was 1979. I mean if you want to throw out meaningless facts how about the fact that ECU is 40-2 against FCS since it was formed.

I can say we were conference champs last year so I guess that would pretty much say that we were the best in our conference. I mean we really aren't comparing apples to apples though. Its more like comparing nascar to go carts. We play one of the strongest OOC schedules in the nation so saying we are just lil ol cusa doesn't float either.

Not sure anyone is really going to stir this up into a rivalry and I'm pretty sure regardless of W/L in this game you can count on not being a constant on our schedule. We haven't played a FCS opponent since 01' and you can pretty much count on us not putting one consistently on our schedule. Trying to get into a better conf/upgrading the program/and showing the big boys we aren't to be F'd with does not = scheduling FCS teams.

Just how it is. Now if Skip leaves this year theres no telling but otherwise wouldn't plan on it

there was that time last year when he was out for a few games because of a shoulder injury.

Word around campus was because it had something to do with a marijuana positive drug test.
 
As a State fan, I expect this game to be over by halftime, with ECU crushing Appy.

App fans really need to check themselves. Okay, you're a very good 1AA program, a dynasty (the last few years, anyway), even, but you can't expect to compete with legit 1A teams.

That Michigan game was a once-in-a-lifetime fluke. If you had played them ten more times, you'd have lost all ten.

Your best bet is for the 1A team to not take the game seriously. Beating Michigan is the worst thing that could have happened from that standpoint. Now, nobody is going to overlook you. If they don't, you can't win. Ever.
