Automotive bubble....has it burst?

And since I got a garbage offer on my 22 Ram Rebel today, I'm still in the market. :)

WTF

Need you and @Jody Treadway to give us access to your onlyfeets account so we can make stupid bank too

In related news I test drove a Bronco OBX edition that I was going to trade the wife’s Audi for - but she didn’t like it enough :(

No doubt! I was making a whopping $21 an hour at the dealer.
CiCi's was a killer date night
But you could pull 110 hours a week and still be home by 5

Close.
I was a 65-70 a week man. They needed me to do the warranty diesel and transmission work and couldn't turn much more
They did turn a blind eye to side gear work after hours though.
Solid deal for us both

So back on track. I'm seeing a lot of newish jeeps and trucks for sale lately. Like 2021 and 2022 for not stupid money. are we about to see some repos?

I was thinking the same thing…been seeing new Broncos in private sales reduced by $10-20k.

I've read about record numbers of repos taking place. Them .gov dollars stopped arriving, CC maxed out and rampant inflation are all contributors.

Yukons, Tahoes, suburbans, and other large SUV prices are still holding but seeing alot more used 2021+ for sale.
I saw a reel the other day of a salesman answering a question from a follower about "What was the most expensive vehicle on the lot right now"

He walked over to a silveRAYdo they added a lift to and it was $93k but he said most expensive STOCK vehicle on the lot was a Tahoe with (I think) the high country package at $84k :gtfo:

The owner of one of the local tire stores bought one last year and paid 90K for it.Its insane to me that folks are willing to pay that much for such a deprecating asset. At least w a diesel truck there's a chance to make some of your money back by actually using it like a truck. Yeah the poor's are at it again.

Yeah…that was the hot thing to do 6-12 months ago…and they were selling then. I’ve been seeing a lot of $40-50k broncos with 1500 miles on them the last few weeks though. I think that’s still above MSRP though.

Yup. Still getting listed for way over MSRP, 40-50K Broncos are probably Base Models that MSRP is 33-38k. Less people are Buying at those prices though, They'll start listing for less. Thing is, it was always possible to get them at MSRP with a bit of shopping.

Local Ford dealer has 2 lightly used (very nicely optioned, but still) listed for $73k.
