Because Race Shop - Left Eye Blind Racing

Now I get it. Getting 600 hp from those old fords is a challenge. I used midland machine and engine in midland nc and when I got it built I took it back to them to dyno it. I bought a new block, crank, cam and a whole bunch more from him so got a deal so I don't know what he charges. 704 888 6362 his name is mike.he is a good guy.

Yeah man...that's where the disconnect was. Thanks for the info, I'll give him a call. Having a helluva time finding anything within a 4 hour radius that will rent out dyno time for an afternoon.

Starting to tear in to the pull truck 460 based 480. As mentioned elsewhere, should be in the 900-1000hp range N/A.

Even porting and chamfering oil adapters...haha.

And I thought the rod comparison for a couple different builds in the shop right now was interesting:

1) Chevy 421 6.000"
2) 351W 5.956"
3) Stock 429/460 6.605"
4) Aluminum 6.800"
5) Aluminum 7.100"

Started hacking the bottom off on an RPM air gap to give a cleaner 'spider web' look, like a CHI intake, without the CHI Price tag:

Had to get rid of that ugly double stack look:

Much better:

FE to C adapter belly pan...this will be C to 400, but you get the idea:

Another pull class build...should be the highest compression build to date:

Custom Diamond pistons:

Quick math says 14.9:1-

Remember that scene in Gone in 60 Seconds:
-And here we got a '83 Cadillac Eldorado?
- I mean, who the hell pays...to brighten up a Cadillac Eldorado?

I-I think it holds a certain,
uh, sentimental value, you know?

Anyway...fresh out of the North shop-B2, fresh sheet metal, paint and glass/tint:

400 almost buttoned up and ready for the run stand. Desktop Dyno estimates are putting this thing in the 550hp range. Finally secured a dyno in the Wilson area (supposedly Robert Yates' brother in law):

And last but not least, an FE build that Kris had a hand in building:
