Let's see some burger porn here.
What's your favorite place to get a burger?
What's your favorite recipe/creation from home?

Any kind of meat will do.
Let's see them. I know I'm not the only burger guy on here.

One of my favorites is Big Burger Spot in Greensboro.

I usually get mine with brisket, pimento cheese, jalapeño relish, and fried onions. Medium rare.

The Oak & Dagger burger at the brew pub of the same name here in Raleigh... Best damn burger in town. Med. rare, fresh ground, with a slice of fried Gouda, bacon jam, and I don't remember what else.

My favorite place to go for a burger is Bad Daddy's Burger Bar in Winston Salem. Go there every year for my birthday. I get either the Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids or the Bad Ass Burger. This is my Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids from my birthday meal last year.

Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids*
Monterey Jack cheese, three pieces of jalapeño bacon, three pieces of applewood smoked bacon, housemade bacon mayo, shredded iceberg lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickles

I forgot to take a picture of the Bad Ass Burger that my wife got, but here's the description:

Bad Ass Burger*
A massive 10 oz. beef patty with housemade American cheese, buttermilk fried bacon, horseradish mayo, lettuce, tomato and pickle. Lives up to its name in every way!

The Bad Ass Burger is about 6" tall when they serve it. Your choices for done-ness are "a little pink" or a "lot of pink" I love a lot of pink. You about need a squeegee to clean up afterwards.

Can’t find a burger out that I’d rather have over the burgers I cook at home. Always use 80/20 fresh never frozen ground beef cooked medium rare-medium topped with sharp cheddar. I use a blend of Montreal steak and lawry’s and thick Worcestershire mixed into half pound patties. I am simple and only like a burger with dukes mayo, yellow mustard, and a slab of onion.

Bad Daddy's in Winston is one of my favorites. Haven't been to Hops yet, mainly due to the wait time.

Cain’s grill in white oak the best local burger around.

Still haven't gone there. I need to go since you rave about the burger.

Mojo's is normally my go to.

Bad Daddy's is pretty damn good too.

I actually ate there for lunch today. Had a vendor take us out. Originally went to twin peaks but saw they had an 85 health rating and went over to bad daddys

Mojo's is good, Bad Daddy's is fine (I think my favorite was called the All American Burger), Five Guys has been our go-to for 20 fucking years, but that Oak & Dagger burger.... shit.....

we need to do this again- Iron Chef- Best Burger Carolina Wheelers style

85/15 works in a pinch too, but nothing else. Any leaner and its too dry, any fatter and it shrinks too much. I use salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and worchestershire, patted in after I patty them. Rest for 5-10 minutes, then grill low and slow. I'm happy with medium-rare to medium, but the people I surround myself with like med-well to well. Oh, and its gotta be sauteed mushrooms, grilled onions, and swiss cheese (one slice on the patty, and one melted onto the toppings to hold it all together.

Best burger I ever had though was from Burgermeister’s in Asheville. They were rated the best burger in the southeast for like 5 years straight. Closed down about 5 years ago, not sure why. I’d make the 2.5 hour trip each way to Asheville some weekends just for lunch.

....that said, we went to Revolution Burger in Greensboro & it sucked.

I always order my burgers well done, no pink (hush) & my buddy ordered medium. Mine came mostly pink & his was f'in raw (looked like it was seared, but 90% was raw, red ground beef, almost made him puke when he took a bite)

If any of yall ever come to New Bern, you gotta hit up Morgan's for a bbq/cream cheese burger and Beer Army for an elk burger. You won't be sad!

If you'r ever around Richmond, you gotta hit up Cheeburger Cheeburger. It's right on par with Andy's (Hwy55 now that they franchised).

The last few times I've grilled burgers at home I used ground black angus. My gf's cousin gave us 5lbs from the last cow they had processed. It's damn good and even better because it was free fifty free!

I even made some Mexican burgers with it one night. Ground beef mixed with churizo (spelling?) , some taco seasoning, minced bell pepper, minced onion, and pattied out/wrapped around a cube of cheese. Good lord, they are amazing!

There's another place in New Bern that has an awesome pimento cheese burger.
