Best years of Suburban/Yukon XL 2500 4x4

I've always wondered for you guys wanting a 3/4 ton suburban, how about an express van? They seem like a HUGE bang for buck deal out there. Kinda like a hidden gem. Same drivetrain and more room inside.

We looked at them hard a few years ago. @yager and @mcutler are both big fans. 4wds are hard to find and hard to build, and it was tough to find one that wasn't high miles and/or a beat to shit work van.

In terms of dollars spent for interior volume, they can't be beat.

6'7" 350-lb me does not fit well in fullsize van front seats, doghouse, etc crowds the legroom.

That said, I love vans - my Dad had several growing up.

If I lived in the south I would consider a van, but in the north, need that 4x4 action...and people think 4x4 vans are SOOOOO valuable.

I think the 6.0s make fuel just like cummins

Only interested if there is something in an hours drive radius....
You won't likely ever find one then

Found one closer to you than me... And made a decision

Awesome find. When you get ready to tow, put it in tow haul, and then manual mode. I use 5th on the hwy and then manually command what I want for the hills. Let it eat. Keeps it from hunting for which gear as often and from neck breaking downshifts when below 40mph on decel.

Awesome find.
Thanks!!

It's a consolation prize.
When I met my wife I had a 2500 burb

Sold it to buy my wife a ring. She always promised me another.

We had a death in the family. The only 4 door I have is SHAQ and none of my elderly family can get in it.. and... Well.. it's a dually and rides like a covered wagon empty.

Borrowed my brother @BigClay burb.. wife fell in love and decided that it was time to give me back my lost burb.

We sold my last burb when Obama was in office and gas was $5
We buy this one when Let's go Brandon is in office... And I got $3.12 gas at 36 gallons šŸ¤˜šŸ¼

You did good.
We got $14k for the wife's 1500 2wd a couple months back with more miles.

What year?

What year?
Thanks.

Mine is a 2011

This one was right down the road.

We went and drove it....UTTER POS!!! drivers inside door pull was a wet noodle. Aftermarket headlights, tailights, grille, and wheels/tires. Shook like Michael J Fox going down the road. Walked away FAST from that one.

In my continued search I discovered there's a metric butt-ton of 2007's across the country that I really liked.

This one closer to @NickMaul Log into Facebook

And this one I was tempted to fly to Texas for:

But I wanted the 6 speed.

Then..there's plenty of Gov models all over. And in great shape.

Of course there are MORE....click the link above and UNCHECK the "UNDER $26,000" to see the stupid ones.

But the wife wanted "the works" after being in Clay's

@CasterTroy you found a deal on a diamond for sure!!! And you found it fast compared to my search. I love mine, love it so much that almost donā€™t like putting miles on it so I can keep it longer hahaha

My wife wants a new Tahoe. I don't want to spend that kinda money. Been passively looking duraburbs. I feel like one of those would be a good compromise šŸ˜‚
If you get the Denali front clip swap, and 20's you're looking at $70k

I think we should clarify... Been looking at USED duraburbs šŸ˜‚
šŸ‘
There's several for sale right now that were shadetree conversions. (see also ABSOLUTE SHIT)

The more I learn the more I like http://WWW.DURAMAXSUV.COM/ and how they do things
