Bourbon

While I was at the store yesterday, I asked if they had Buffalo Trace. He said yes, but you have to buy it in a bundle. You could pick from Fireball, Corozan Tequilla or some craft Vodka and then you could get BT for $29… TFW?

I asked why and he said the distributor was selling too much of BT and not enough of the others, so they had to balance out the sales.

Pick better shit to sell then! I’d be pissed if I was BT. This tactic then eats into their sales. It’s damn near socialism in sales.
 
They do that here around Christmas. It's annoying but if you want some of the better stuff you have to buy the basket. I've picked up some rare birds this way.

The best basket I ever got though was an Elmer T, Blanton's, and a Kentucky Owl. Most other times, it's like a Pappy with some disgusting mint flavored rye and some trash vodka.
 
Drew poorly in this mornings lottery. Still ended up with a couple nice bottles.

Have you had the rye? I'd never seen it till Saturday. My buddy had a bottle squirreled away and it's the best damn rye I've ever had. Same label but with a brighter red and of course, it says rye instead of small batch.

No I haven’t. Wasn’t available today at the distillery. They only put out 1 type a day of anything that is on allocation. Funny thing is that the employees don’t know what is going to be sold from the allocation list until they clock in at 8:30 AM each morning. I’m staying 20 miles from Buffalo Trace until Thursday so I’ll stop by the next 2 days and try my luck with something else.

There is a face space group that tells you what is released that day, of course it is someone who stands in line and finds out when they open. But you can get BT every day!!! And at MSRP.
