club challenge

our whole club will be at the playground the 16th & 17th if you guys want to come check the place out . this would be a good time to have reps from clubs that want to participate come out and put there 2 cents in.

EYHEM!!!!! The whole club??? Man this is getting a little scary. It looks like we have got at least 5 differant classes. Next You will want a tow rig class. I own 2 4X4's one is on 35" tires, I can't hang with the big boys so I don't. I go watch. It would take a 4 day weekend to run 5 classes and that would be with 20 or so people volunteering their time. I plan on volunteering but I don't want it to become a full-time job. I already got one of those and it wastes to much of my time already

I might be able to make it for Aggressive...since I'm the closest.

Just gotta see if I get some work done between Monday the 11th and the 16th...parts arrive this Friday but I'll be at the beach til Sunday...

Greg

right down to "stock" nothing over 31's
Well, that's about what I've got, but I'm not IN a club yet. Hoping to join CNC4X4 soon. I'd be interested in trying something like that, too.

Youve got a full time job????No really it makes sense,it would take forever to run a bunch of different classes.

Not if you limited entries.

You would think that comon sense would do that???? I believe that scott said CLUB CHALLANGE not a miny U-rock event. As in each club bring thier top 3-4 contenders and leave the winey members at home or in the audiance. You arn't skeeeeerd to run the top contenders class are you :driver:

I agree, top contendors. No stock class needed. Just limit the class's to Buggy, Open top Jeep, Full sized.

Three easy classes and a bunch of clubs. I know most of my guys are willing to pit crew and support the top rigs from the club. They know when to park theres and watch.

I'm up to try to convience the rest of our club, NC Krawlers, to do this comp, or whatever you want to call it. Sounds interesting...What do you have in mind. :smokin:

I like the idea of the three classes buggy, open top jeep, and full-sized as Dave stated above. I also like the idea of keeping this a club basses thing so each club could try and enter in one vehicle in each class and if a club can not enter a class (ex: aggressive does not have a buggy as of yet& some clubs do not have a full-size truck that is willing to beat on it like I am ) then allow them to enter tow vehicles in one class to make up the difference .then you could take the three scores from the three classes and get a club score and a club prize .

Or we all could man up and be in one class. Take numbers get in line and go. Ill put my shite against a tub buggy I ant scared (if I ever get it back to gather that is) I thank I like that idea better every rig for its self representing its club one class anything goes you never no some no name with a stock something may come out the works with a balls to the wall attitude an whip all are asses.

Dear god.. a simple, friendly invite for some fun, and it has turned into this.. What? grassroots?

grassroots??? has to start somewhere... and i don't see how its still not a friendly invite for fun for local clubs, nothing has been set in stone, just simple questions and curiousities (sp?) from some of the local clubs. i don't think that there should be a club prize other than bragging rights, isn't that enough motivation to keep it going??

Just seems like it's been blown way bigger than what was intended, but still should be a good time at any rate...

But, the more organized it gets, legality and insurance might rear its ugly head... :(

thanks for the suggestions, it's sorta why it was posted here to get as much input from local clubs to see what they thought. Nothing is set in stone , I'm sure we'll have a meeting and discuss all ideas and come up with something that will work for all parties involved. We may just need to limit the first one to a few rigs per club and see how it goes.

We appreciate you posting it up here. It's a great idea. The hardest part is the inusrance I have found while dealing with our show and our land. Its great though to see the clubs get together in a freindly competition like this. We can do alot with the east coast if the clubs all got together and this is a good place to start.

Somebody print waivers for everyone involved to sign giving away their right to sue etc..(spectators and competators). Would doing this relieve some of the legal pressure?

why different classes ? bring your club, lets time the course , the club with the lowest total time wins!!! a team effort . tire size, wheel base, suspension type, leaf sprung , linked, full bodied , buggy, auto, stick, gearing, is there one combination that works the best every where- the answer is no!!! every one in our club brings something different to the rocks.

That's the best idea that I've seen yet to clear the air on the "Classes." However, with a clock tickin'....Parts will be more apt to breaking! Sounds like alot of fun..."Mini Top Truck...."

Just my .03 cents worth. :smokin:

No such luck, but when you call an insurance company they REQUIRE that you do that anyways. But to tell you the truth, there is not much difference legal wise in running this event compared to the liability you have EVERY day if some kid walks past the no tresspassing signs and falls on the rocks and sues you when you are not there. SO......you need insurance anyways. This is what I was told by insurance agents. We were told it would cost 4k per year for our park and we HAD TO MAKE THEM SIGN LIABILITY WAVERS. But you have more chances of getting sued from the dick who is not supposed to be there than the guys actually in the event.

hey BIGWOODY or whomever from Devils...send me a PM with your contact info I may be able to help with Insurance....
