also got the unsprung wieght figured today

dressed tons, steering, shocks and shafts (half the weight of these), and tires

total weight 1850# +/-
axles- 1040#
tires/wheels- 165# ea= 660#
shocks- 16# ea= 32#
shafts- 15# ea= 15#
steering cylinder= 30#
links- 20# ea= 80#
and i figure with fluids and brake lines/hoses should be right at 1900#

hoping the total weight will be 4300# wet. that's 1400# less than my yj weighed wet and loaded. should be quite the difference with the gear change (4.56 to 5.13) and the new weight, plus i am expecting to be very close to 50/50 weight distribution. can't wait see how much better she handles.

You weren't kidding about tight space. . .

You're not worried about that yoke being to weak?

Well my computer has a virus. Therefore no more pics til that is corrected. Taking chassis to Ben tomorrow for paint. I'm friggn wore out. Still got a few odds and ends to complete today before I load up. I'll post when I am able.

not particularly, the yoke still has an amzing amount of material after clearancing. also i have clearanced 1310 yokes up to 25 degrees in the past with no failures. i have experienced more tcase and axle yoke failure than driveshaft.

the ujoint seems to be happy with this angle when spun, obviously its not been turned under power, so we will see.

Glad to see all the progress!

and glad to hear that you gave me a new idea for my driveshaft. . .

Stoked to see it after paint.

so far everything is getting the gloss black on black treatment. the skins will be wrapped with some graphics with cues from blownjk's artwork that he posted on my thread; green skull and flames. truthfully don't know exactly what it is all gonna look like yet cuz am giving creative freedom to the graphic designers, so unitll i get some artwork for approval your guess as good as mine. BUT, i think it is gonna be banging!!:bounce2:

just a cpl more weeks til actually "breaking some ground" with this rig.

Fab work is FABulous..... can't wait to see this up at the flats. Hurry the hell up. Lol
