CTB Fun Caravan 07 @ Uwharrie

-I haven't been up to URE in a years. I'm coming with a yj on 35"s and the other guy is sporting a bl and 31"s. Last time I remember there being plenty of alternates to avoid spots too tough.

i did dutch john, slab pile and wolf den in a completly stock discovery with street tread and had no problems. I was even wheeling solo (which was stupid, but i did alright)

You could request a permit from the District Ranger to allow alcohol in Group Camp... It is within her authority to grant or deny.

Fun Caravan

Dylan,
if this is as much fun as Mountain City, count me in. i'll send the registration form in next week. i had a blast at Mountain City, and you guys put a great ride on.
Brian

Thanks Brian! Glad you had fun, and are planning to ride with us again. The set up will be a little different with the feild games we play , but thats a blast also, and you can win cool trophies with Jeeps on them!!!The trail riding is a little more laid back than Mt. City, but its still great fun.Great raffle and food also!
Dylan

I am starting to get some awsome raffle prizes for this event. You dont want to miss this one!

Also...If anyone wants to help out or make a raffle donation....lemme know! Thanks Dylan

Hey! Are we camping at the Badin Lake Group Camp?

I have just been informed that i now have a title sponsor for the poker run!!!In the past its just been the ''poker run''
but after watching NASCAR too much, and seeing those marketing gurus in action, I can now say..........................

CTB invites you to the ......

ALPHA FOUR WHEEL DRIVE POKER RUN 07!!!!!

Mike @ Alpha has a VERY SPECIAL PRIZE for the winner(best poker hand collected) along with the usual trophy.

Several of us around here anxious to go! Got all the Jeeps repaired. Got some new stuff done. Been tryin not to beat em up too much again before this trip!

Always enjoy URE trips. Nothing too extreme, but always a good group trail ride!:driver:

OK...Heres the scoop on the Alpha 4wd Fun Caravan by CTB

Lots of events in a small place with little time= Fun Caravan

We will have a meeting Sat. morning. All event rules will be explained.Pay close attention!
All events will run at the same time, so everyone needs to stay on their toes and move from event to event.

Events are slated to begin Sat. morning @ 10:00
Events include:
* balance beam (timed event) Fastest to balance their rig wins.
* roll to the line (measured event) You have 20 ft. of take off space, then knock rig into neutral and coast to a line....closest to line without going over wins..CANT USE BRAKES.
*spark plug change (timed event) need a partner for this one, one takes them out, one puts them back. Heads on a table, not the ones in your rig.
* Tire change ( timed event) partners again; one takes it off, one puts it back.
* Table crawl (timed or distance) RC Rock Crawlers on a table top rock course. Very fun!

Like I said before, these are simple, fun competitions that bring everyone together to have a good time. Each event winner will receive a cool trophy.

Do well in all events to become an overall winner. First, second, third place overall winners will be REWARDED; this year better than ever. Thanks to our event sponsor

****For the "tire change" comp. This year everyone will be changing the the same tire on the same vehicle.
The stakes have been raised this year and each event will be fair. This year there wont be any...8 lug v/s 5 lug or 33" tires v/s 44" inch tires.Everyone using one vehicle will level the playing field.

We want everyone to compete in all events and have a ball doing it! Good luck to everyone. See you @ Uwharrie!

One last time.....we will award the top 3 overall winners better than ever, so you want to compete in all events and do your best!!
Thank you, Dylan Wiles

Daddy wants to use the motorhome to tow his truck (says hes too old to ruff it anymore). Is there room for it at Group camp or will we need to make arangements elsewhere?

Duane

I have seen a few motor homes in there from time to time.It should be ok, I guess. The only problem might be making the turn to get into group camp, but you should be ok, i have seen it done.......Come on!

Dangit..... work has forced me to fly to NY that week but I am gonna try to hightail it there by Saturday afternoon.

Schmooze a big account and check out their business model.
