Yea, workin for race teams at the NASCAR level, you can definitely become a hostage. All I ever did or was, involved a stock car.:driver:

Funny thing is, after all these years of thinkin Racin was the end all, be all of my existence, I have found that Family an' Jeepin rates just about a notch above it!:rolleyes:

Me too ! Even the dust at Uwharrie is gonna be a welcome sight this year......I got my air fixed in the cherokee!!!

It squeels though. What will fix the squeal? Someone said to rub soap on it. Will that work?
 
I dont know yet....Its just loud and annoying. It only does it with air on, not when its off. My luck, its the clutch fan, right?

I know how you feel. The winds of change will soon be blowing. I may be at Dixie after all if everything works out. Ill know for sure by Saturday. If you see me at Group Camp on Friday then my life just got a lot easier.

I am thinking your Jeep has a serpentine belt?? May be the AC clutch creating a big drag on the system, causing it to slip. May be the belt is old/worn/and hard, and it doesn't grip as well as it should. It could also be the tensioner isn't doing it's job. Annnnnd it might be a combination of several of the above.

Never heard of the soap thing, but, they do sell a product at the auto parts places called belt dressing, and I have used it before to some degree of success
 
Thanks Chip, gonna check all that today.If I cant fix it , gonna hook up the old Alpine amp and get some bigger speakers,like I had in High school,play me some ''Sir Mix-A- lot" and maybe the BASE will drown out the squeak.

Awwww come on dad! Camping is not that much different than staying home. ya just have to prepare yourself for it. The kids would think you were the coolest dad ever if they got to sleep out doors!

Yea...like I got pulled at Callalantee during the ride down for the meeting/diner!

Said he couldn't see my tag. Think it was really just an excuse to check us over good!

Get There early and plan to stay late, and you can take part in all the events, maybe even win some cool stuff. The raffle is the last thing sat. night.....you gotta be a part of the raffle!

Seems forever since ol' yeller Jeep was last out!

Got laid off last week, so I have had all this time to final prep. Im down to hammerin out dents and touchin up paint!! sheesh!

I have even started cuttin n' bendin up a cage for a Cherokee.

I will be running the spark plug relay this year. My friend that usually does it won't there till late, if he gets to come at all. I set it all up and the table he has is way too big for me to bring, and my smaller table is on the wobbly side. So if anyone has a table (sturdy) they can bring I would appreciate it a lot. Orrrr if someone doesn't mind parking their truck up there and letting us work off the back of it that would be good too. The heads are mounted on a 2X12 4' long.
