D.P. Build

hell. i think i,ve wheeled mine since he has!

Finally "finished" this so here are a few pictures. I've bothered just about everyone I know with questions on this thing over the past few months but I owe a BIG thanks to Sam, Nate, Sartin, Mac, and Chad.

Vendors were: Will @ RightSide, Dan @ RuffStuff, Dave @ Olivers, and Chase & Andy @ ECGS.

still have alot to do but its come along way.

Main things done were:
New transmission
D300 4:1, AA 32 spline rear output, 1350 CV flange
Homemade Flip kit and WARD shifters
4 link
14 bolt w/Disc
2.0 14" SAWs

Thanks for that Chris. I took your line John, it still works!

This jeep has taken alot of my money and alot of my friends time over the past few weeks but I think we've sorted out most of the issues with it. THANKS EVERYONE!!

Made the waterfall, easy out, hill climb, armorall, and pull cable yesterday and couldn't have been happier. Look forward to doing it again.

YJ has been showing out lately. We know its not the driving!

Krawlers...dang big timer i hear ya! yj looks good, glad to hear you are starting to get all the kinks worked out, it sure seems to be working good!

I messed with it some last night. Only damage was an exploded bump that I replaced. Beadlocks were leaking so I tightened the bolts on those.

I noticed the steering was struggling now that I can air down. In the process of ordering a cooler for it.

You are going to run a steering cooler now.... I want to see the install on that.

Garage door wheeling was 2008. I mainly wheel the concrete slab now.

I'm going to Michael...if I can ever find the one I want! We'll stick one on yours too.

Probably goign to need to. The wiring harness should show up by the end of the week. I pick up the stereo head unit tonight but still need to come up with a CB. hoping to get a lot of the wiring laid out this weekend.

Cleaned it up some yesterday and took it for a spin.

A little bit of tech.

*We redid the ram mount completely from its original location. It hit the harmonic balancer under full compression and looked like fireworks were going off under my Jeep. With that came a new ram guard.

*Installed the strongest tie rod on the planet. 1.75"x.250 wall tubing w/ 7/8x3/4 heims.

*New tires are obviously Krawlers. I went with the 17" DIY beadlock kit from Dan @ RuffStuff. 39 5/16" bolts/wheel.

*I would like to note...Cheap spray paint sucks. Napa Colorline is just like spraying water with black food coloring in it. Rust is bad, so go ahead and spend the $ on decent paint. Buy Rustoleum products.

*The rear output seal on my t case wasn't allowing full engagement of the nut holding on the yoke. We removed the o-ring completely and got a full 3 more turns of engagment which cured my driveshaft vibes. I know I'll lose some fluid but my 300 is flipped and leaks anyways so I just keep an eye on it.

*Recharged the air shocks due to a leaking schrader.

*Greased every single zerk on the rig.

*Installed a pair of Hella horns which are the most obnoxious things ever but make for some good times!

*Installed new spring clamps on front springs.

*Ordered PS cooler tonight. Will get that on next week.

Installed new lights on the trailer to replace all the broken ones. Got a few new things for the tow rig while I was at it. Looking forward to wheeling season :huggy:

WOW first 14 bolt shaft I have seen break. Was it a FF 14 bolt?
I know I know, I have one myself and thinking it is, just making sure!
