This afternoon we picked up a Pontiac Grand Prix. At home we unloaded it, and Heath pulled it out of the way. Next thing I know he slams into a Buick Park Avenue, and wedges the car beside a tree.

I thought he was screwing around and wrecked. I started over to the car, and things we're going smoothly, until they weren't. I got beside the car. Next thing I knew I was face, down holding on to the tire of a Dodge Dakota, with my legs under the Buick. There was just enough of a slope that I could not get out. Heath had to grab the Dodge and pull me till I could get my feet next to the Buicks tire, and reach the Dodge's fender, then get upright. I had to drag myself out of the ice with the Dodge.

Be careful out there.

I need some crampons.

This snow/ice has been rough. We were on a call yesterday and I went for about a 30' slide. The trucks had a heck of a time getting up there and then out of there.

My truck slid all by itself into my shop door last night with no one around. Dang ice

Hindsight is always clear. Based on past experiences in less critical circumstances...Even if just one rear tire is gonna be on ice, I put mine in 4wd before parking. None of my parking brakes are very good, so once that warm tire melts some ice, its an open diff or weak limited slip away from rolling off.

After yesterday I'm considering buying something
The yaktrax are pretty damn legit. I wore them through a 9 month deployment to Afghanistan up in the mountains and they never let me down. Snow and ice everyday for about 4 months. Still have them squirreled away in a tote box somewhere in the garage. 10/10 would recommend. The reason for use though? 3/10 would not recommend lol.

Bought two pairs at Dick's Spring Goods yesterday for $25 each.
So, I cannot recommend the Yaktrax Walk Plus. 40 minutes of walking around shoveling snow and the rubber interconnecting parts broke in multiple places on both feet. Going right back to the store. I wear a 9.5, bought the mediums which are rated 9-11 mens, wearing boots they did not stretch that much to snap on. Very disappointed.

Glad I didn't buy any
