Does this look familiar to anyone?

scary stuff right there. There's not many details given, what laws was he breaking? It sounds like the dude tried to get away from the public eye and keep his mess private.

That's some sad shit ....
I was just drivin through that area yesterday ....basic country livin, hilly and lots of trees, quite a few trailers. but it's mixed with these new "McMansion" developments where they subdivide the hell out of 5 acres and build 20 of these stupid lookin 4000 sq foot homes . I assume these assholes in the McMansions are taking a beating on their property values and need to take it out on someone.
It seems the almighty dollar rules and nothing else matters in the triangle. Been goin on for years.
Like I said, sad shit.

Just one example of a man who owns a damn 100x100 lot and thinks he should control what goes on for a five radius.

That's bullshit and also why I live out of city limits.

If I lived in Raleigh I would help this poor fella out.. Which he should be able to keep his stuff. What if it was neatly stacked in a pile and more organized, would it still be considered junk then? Thats a harsh penalty especially for someone who lost their home in a fire.

the sad news is I Know Mike very well and he is a very nice guy that would help anyone.. and I remember his talking about all this crap a while back and then he had business problems and now this.. way to kick a man when he is down.

I remember him saying that he had issues with his neighbors but I did not know that it was this bad.

Didnt the article say that if it was cleaned up they would let him out early. I would be down to help someone out. No need for him to go to jail over this.

Dave

Just shows we have a great justice system, they are going to spend the time and money to put this man in jail for something that in my opinion is horse shit. Guess I have a lot to look forward to when I get my own place.

Well...any of the clubs wanna organize a clean up day. Help this fella out? it would look good on the NC4x4 community and raise alot of awareness in a positive direction for a change.

Does anyone have any contact info for him? or any contacts at WRAL that would get us the info we need to organize a clean up day?

If you look it up on the GIS, the offending neighbor has been there since 1976 (15 years longer) and has 4 or 5 acres. Plenty of buffer. What a jerk. I have 18 acres, and neighbors on 3 sides who each have several acres, and every one of them has stuff right up to my property line. Kinda annoys me, but its there property. If I can't deal with it, I should plant bushes or put up a fence.

Lets do this I am willing to come up and help a man out!

ok guys before everyone starts stalking his wife and calling them.. I have made a phone call and I am waiting for a reply.. I will let you know what I find out..

I think I could lend a hand on a weekday this coming week...course we would certainly meed a plan in place. Keep us updated.
