It is rumored that a shaved 9 and 38’s is equivalent to 40’s so we will see.

i gained about 1.5" of clearance on my 9" but i only used 1/4" plate,in hindsite i should have used 3/8 or 1/2", some of the gouges are so deep i will soon have to add another 1/4 plate on top the existing one. but i still gained a 1" of clearance & a much stronger skid than the thin housing material.

WOW, nice work on this. I did get a little scared when I saw all the wires in the pics of the new springs......God I hate wiring.

Finished the shave on the 9

Well after 4 grinding wheels and 3 flap disks I finished smoothing out the rear axle.

rig

up date to sig.

The rig is still under construction should be at a stopping point in another 10 days will list all mods at that time.

Nice pinion guard, I think you may need some more trimming but I'm sure you'll get to that soon enough. That rear axle is total beef. I need to get mine built like that! Congrats on the great job. Shawn

looks great. i have a brand new set of fender flares for sale if you are interested.

super nice rig! Is that the same one I've seen on extreme4x4 doing slick rock? I was a big fan of that stock looking rig...even bigger fan of the newist version. That 9" looks BA!!!great job,Chuck

Yea it is. I did wheel it a good bit stock (ride height) but to hang with the big boys (Ken, Jon) I had to go big and BEEF. So more parts arrived today and will be doing more cutting this weekend.

David

now now no need for name calling.....John an Ken are not "Big Boys" they are just "Husky" or were you talking about their rigs?? :flipoff2:
