I have been lurking the board witht the od post here and there and was wondering if there was any interest in a fayettevile area meet and greet. I am in hope mills so maybe we could put something together of someone can clue me in. I don't know my way around here much.
Let me know
Chris

I am up in spring lake, if i get my Tcase back in, I think some buddies and I are going wheeling at a place down in hope mills. Will get a better idea tomorrow.

hey

where is a good place to go in hopemills. I don't want anything to rough but something to play around in is always nice. i'm in hopemills with a stock jeep that i'm in the process of getting my parts to lift.

Im rather new to the area myself. I live in Sanford. I went out to URE last weekend and had a blast. I am going to try and go again before they close for the winter.

I am in Fayetteville but closer to hopemills. A meet and greet would be good locally. I assume the local place you guys are talking about is near Waldo's Beach? That place is illegal to wheel at. I personally do not know of any Legal spot to wheel in the Hope Mills area. If you have a place that is legal please share. If you are discussing an illegal place then I advise not discussing it on here people take that very serious here. On another note I really would like a meet and greet.

You read my mind, well said.

I'd be interested in going to a Fayetteville meet and greet if I'm available. I could probably get another member of this board and some other wheeling friends who aren't members to go as well as long as I have a big enough heads up.

And yes URE is the closest legal place to wheel.

i wouldn't mind coming up to meet some ppl. give a good heads up...Saturday or Sunday would be good.

Doesn't even have to be a wheelin' trip really. Could meet at a local/conveinient place and throw some burgers on the grill, bullshit, and compare rigs if need be. My burb is still in a "In Work" state of disaray at the current time. We could meet at someones house or something as well. Maybe do a few small projects to a rig or two as well. I am game for any kind of get together for the most part and could most likely bring a few others along as well.

Thats what I'm talking about. Meet up somewhere to eat, and bs. Who knows, maybe have some new wheeling buddies when ure opens back up (Im out till then cause Dad's bronco is broke, and I am trying to put my 78 f150 on tons and 42s.):driver:

Ok I’ve been thinking about this and have come up with some possible meeting places in no particular order.

1. Gander Mountain parking lot on Skibo Rd- It’s central, easy access, plenty of room, plenty of fast food nearby and other groups meet here sometimes.

2. Buffet Places- (Western Sizzlin on Raeford Rd, Golden Coral across from mall, Fire Mountain in front of Sams Club) These all have plenty of parking, plenty of food and plenty of tables.

3. Downtown- There is a big public parking lot adjacent to the Airborne Museum and the Prince Charles Hotel. There is a Subway right there, and a few other places to eat/drink just across the street. This is pretty central, very accessible, and there is a lot of stuff you can do downtown after we meet if you wanted (movie theater, indoor rock climbing, batting cages, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, a lot of nice parks, bike trails, gardens, dog park, shopping, art galleries, arcades, transportation museum, special ops museum, …..Fayetteville has spent a lot of money revitalizing downtown everybody should check it out if they haven’t been recently. Hay St is also on a 24/7 police foot patrol. I’m off my soap box now.)

4. Itz Entertainment Center- (Legend Av between Skibo and Sycamore Dairy) I went here for the first time last week. They have a Sports Bar, Cigar Parlor, and Night Club all separated. The Sports Bar was cool, had good food, beer, and pool tables. Also has a really big parking lot.

5. Others places I thought of were Pizza Palace on Hope Mills Rd, Primo Pizza on Raeford Rd, or Dog House Bar and Grill on Owen Dr.

Anything jumping out at yall or any other suggestions? Honestly I’d prefer a bonfire and pig cooker if we had a place for it but that may be a bit much for our first meet and greet.

I think that would be awsome to organize a meet and greet in fayetteville. There is a bunch of great Rigs rolling around. I know of a couple little trails around here but I mostly go out to URE. I will be checking back to see if something ever gets organized. Maybe after the holidays. April is only a couple months away and thats when URE opens back up. There is also two places down at the beach where you can drive your trucks on.

As stated before Be very careful of "couple of places around town", If you know somewhere legal then please enlighten us but if you are talking about the normal trails on Bragg, Near Wldo's Beach or out past the Cracker Barrel then they are still on the illegal list of places. People say you can run the trails on Bragg but read those signs as you enter or ask an MP. You can loose your vehicle plus find federal charges if they want to have some fun with you. Just my thoughts.

On a better note I am still up for a meet and greet, after the Christmas season that is.

I am game but needs to be after the Christmas season. Keep this near the top to get some opinions.

I do stick to the normal trails on bragg. It is usually posted weather or not you can drive down the trails. a good trail is right around Mott lake. I have heard of the illegal spots. Its not worth is when URE is right around the corner.

I'm new and think it's great to start something in Fayetteville. I would even help setting up some events. I have lots of time on my hands. When is the next Holiday in Janurary? If you see a red 87' chevy stepside 4x4 with 44's stop me and say hey.

I like the idea of the first meeting at the Gander Mt. parking lot on Skibo Rd. Then if you are all not a bunch of Axe murders then it's cool to have something at my house or someone else's. I have 1 smoker grill, 1 gas grill, 1 charcoal grill. Yes I love to cook meat.:flipoff2: Oh yeah don't forget the . Also I was thinking of a 4x4 truck or trucks in general club for Fayetteville. Calling it HIGH ROLLERS. What do you all think. I'm looking for group to hang with. Just moved here from Okinawa, Japan. Have most weekends free to work on trucks or go ride.:bronco:

looks like we got a good group going. does eveyrone wanna make the first fayetteville Meet and great on MLK weekend. It sucks that URE isn't open but atleast we can start helping eachother with those winter projects to get the rigs ready to go in april.

What date is MLK? I am interested in doing a meet. Are we wanting to just meet in a lot or meet up and then eat? My burb most likely will not be running by then but willing to show to eat or just BS. Whereever we decide to meet the business should be asked to make sure they are ok with us in thier lot.
