i buy and sell Cherokee all the time, 90% just stock and rebuild them and sell em with 2 yr. warranty and I've gotten a lot that I've said to keep and rebuild for myself but end up selling so that's what I meant by that title and that's why it's exiting to know i can/have to keep this one. been selling XJs for 7 years now, got 11 in boone alone and 26 or so in Raleigh area.

I actually don't hate this site or any other jeep site. I actually love them because of all the useful tech and mods you can learn from them. I just strongly disagree with how folks act and bash people here and pirate and cherokeenation when they are so quick to tell someone their build is some disgrace to the sport and to get a new hobby basically. Who is anyone to tell another what to do with their time and money, and as stated before, give advise to people but when you put them down, degrade their family name, business name, personal name and basically might as well say "go jump off a cliff you tard" comeone people, what the hell makes us any better and different than the rest of this hell hole world out there.

for those who someday want to get to know the "real" me, this paragraph is just the tip of iceberg of what morals and values i live and believe by in my life and with the Bible i read by. I am forgiven by the few times I've shown my a.. on here because i too can only take so much crap from people but i am a very strong believer in God's True Values and that's why till this day, you won't find me in anyone's thread or post putting down anything unless i have positive or technical/mechanical opinion to give. I stay out of people's threads and builds on purpose because the way mine end up, i don't even give a chance to see what other might look like so this is why i go away for long periods of time and then return with new project exited to share something i have or working on/started but sadly enough.........well look at the 12 pages and you tell me whose the bullies and haters. now you have roughly 200 more words of my "real" person written out and someday i suppose, i really believe the true folks here (whoever that might be) might be really surprised when they get to meet me in person at one of the local events and take their time to greet and meet instead of frown and down on me.
 
Haul all of the steel to the scrap yard. Sell the poly spacers. Sell the wheel spacers! Sell the winch plate, your wheeling style needs no winch. And your on your way to money for the right parts. You may not spend anything to build this but you are wasting resources. Leave it stock and wheel the piss out of it.

i like my jeep the way it is and the way it's going to be..my way and off the highway.... i think ur jealous that i got a cool jeep with about 100 bucks into it, cool tail lights, cool body armor, descent paint job, nice free 6"lift with upgraded longer arms, free welded locker in the rear, awesome winch bumper "free" instead of 900, and best of all, Jeep itself was free so don't hate the playa, hate the game!!! later fellas, bedtime its late. Peace!
 
Halfass is not free! It's dangerous. And your missing the point we all know it looks like a lot of fun to drive but we just know better!

That's kinda the double standard there... Folks have been giving you good advice and you choose to disregard it. Then you have the audacity to tell these folks (some of whom have built multiple rigs, some who even make a living doing this sort of thing) that they are bashing you by telling you you're doing it wrong! Nobody wants to see you fail (as entertaining a read as these threads may be), I think they would like nothing more than to see you succeed, but you're gonna hafta at least consider their advice to do so.

And you're on a budget? Cool! I can't blame you there, I usually am as well. But you are seriously better off just taking your time with it if you need to save up a few $$$ for parts. So what if you're wheeling a bone stock jeep? I have tons of respect for guys who wheel stock or nearly so, it takes some serious balls and skill.

I was a local until very recently. I would have loved to meet another wheeler but I cant classify you as that. Maybe at first...but you have proven time and time again your inability to take advice or criticism. There is a mental disconnect going on here, you truly don't get what is going on or how badly you could hurt someone.

We all have to start somewhere and I started with five of the coolest guys you could hope to meet...in Boone. Adam would give you the shirt off his back, Nathan is an awesome fabricator, Robbie is a crazy hard worker, and Stretch and Sam are pretty entertaining. I listened and learned from these guys with way more experience and wouldn't have had a rig without them. At some points it was pretty red...but it was safe and extremely capable.

You have insulted this community time and time again and that is why we are "ganging up" on you. A lot of guys here are still willing to give you a chance, you just have to be willing to learn.

So shut up and learn or GTFO.

I know guys, there is too much logic here.
