gas

Yeah, I gotta say I am not terribly worried, but I do have to go on a 5 hour roundtrip drive this weekend in my truck, and was out of gas, so I figured why risk it, went and filled up my truck with 85 bucks of gas. Most people don't seem to know here though. Gonna be a shitty morning for those who don't.
 
Well, I woke up early to find all of this, decided to go see, Went to three stations, two were out, the one that had was $3.79. Gona be sitting at the local station to fill the Van since Leslie has to go(Rather is going) to URE this weekend. It's $3.79 there too.

Unfortunately, my mind was still asleep this morning, locked myself out of the house and realized I didn't have my wallet. Had enough gas to get to work and back home and I guess I'll be paying whatever it is on Monday...:handed:

my mother in law called me this morning and said that i needed to fill up blah blah blah. said the guy that brings our gas to the Mountain Market came this morning and told them to raise the price to save what we have b/c they don't even have/can't get anymore for the time being. i have about half a tank...maybe it's an excuse to not have to go into work?:bounce2:

Oh well, did not know till right. I am headed to the beach anyways, my car gets 32 mpg and holds 10 gal, at least i made it under cap. The only thing this means is i will not drive the jeep for a while, nothing new there

Greensboro and Selma are not out of gas....they say they are when really it has been put on aalocation for certain customers
Its always like that. If a tanker driver tries to fill his truck then his terminal card will be stripped and lose his job......Every customer has number and beside that number is an amount. They are not out of gas. It would be impossible to run out.
 
gas down here shot up in some spots last night. people were fighting and waiting in line to pay $4.59 and then this morning its back down to $3.50.

All of the gas stations that jumped thier price up made a few extra thousand last night.
 
Gas has not gone up in Greensboro yet. Still $3.57 here and the pumps are not empty.

New's flash: wife is at gas station on Flemming Rd. and it is packed!

Sorry guys, I had some alcohol induced typing last nite. Didnt mean to spill all of that out. That being said, I had no problem fillin my truck up this morning. lol.

But if i DO run out im ridin the bike!!!!HAHA
 
One of the guys I work with just told me his wife's boss (the principal at the school she works at) told her to leave work now and go fill her car up because gas was going up $2.00 a gallon at 10:00. Where in the hell do these people get their information?
 
Didn't notice anything different at the stations this morning, but then again it was 6:20am. I've got an 8 hour round trip drive this w/e in my truck(diesel), so I topped it off this morning for $4.03 a gallon. Same price it has been for about the past two weeks.

I seem to recall reports of some stations not having gas during the week following hurricane Katrina.

ALL of our Gasoline comes from Galveston, Tx. It is pumped here dailey, as we need it. And since they have evacuated Galveston, there isnt anyone there to run the pumps, so we're sure to run out any second!:eek:

I heard this from a friend of an ex-wife of a brother of a third cousin, who used to know a guy who said he once dated a girl who's dad was a friend of a guy who's son used to hang out at a BP station! So I know this is true!:cool:

It just aint easy being us!:shaking:

on base at Cherry Point its 3.70. me and my wife are stationed here and she runs the on base station. she is keepin it there untill they run out.

out in town....4.00 and up. oh well.

Still $3.63 in Mebane. Lines at the truck stops look about like they do any other day.
 
$3.68 on my way into the office this morning in Greensboro.. stopped b/c is was coasting on fumes and had to have gas... I did have to wait about 10mins to fill up though b/c of the freaking lines...

I'm leaving work early to go home and fill up all my gas cans, empty glass jars, few milk jugs, and some spare cardboard boxes... gotta be safe!!!!

Fawking rapist! Absolutely no F-ng reason for the prices to escalate like they are. Freaking gas raised here 30-50 cents a gallon over night at some of the stations(the ones owned by the non-american families for the most part!) a few were still at 3.69, but the were lined up slam packed full. FOR WHAT!! Bunch of damn freakin idiots!!! ok I feel better now, a little:shaking:
 
well all i can say is the Mountain Market has been at $3.77/gal for the past several weeks and it's going to stay that way until we run slap out of gas if that's the case. i just talked with my father in law and he said that people are buying the hell out of it down there in Uwharrie. i just hope we don't run out for the weekend. it's all BS anyway...
