gas

Well it's already happening..

Filled up this morning 7:45am @ citgo (Pop Shoppe) in Greensboro $3.58/gal.... NOW on my way back in from lunch $4.29/gal...

Media seems to be to blame for this one! espeically AM radio stations... it's all I heard about on the way into work this morning.

I was just filling up at the BP here in York, and the "owner" said that he's going up $1.00 at 4:00...that'll make 87 octane $5.15 a gallon. Diesel is at $4.69 a gallon.

That is ridiculous. That station owner is padding the heck out of his wallet.

screw this shit. i just filled up the truck with diesel the other night for $3.98 a gallon and my cherokee is on empty. if this crap jumps up in raleigh i am gonna be super pissed. my mom said it is 4.39 out in zebulon and i had someone call me yesterday telling me that the fuel line had busted in smithfield. but who knows what really is going on. anybody want to carpool? :flipoff2:

Would this form apply to that and the majority of the other stations that are screwing us?
http://gaswatch.energy.gov/

No spot for diesel? The jackass down the street from me was charging $4.59 while two stations 10 miles down the road were both charging $4.03. It was like that for almost two weeks! FAWKING GOUGING!!!!!!!!! He gets none of my money for anything.

I guess the good news is that diesel is now the same or less than regular unleaded in most places. Makes my 40mpg diesel car for cost effective that a gas car again.

$3.99 in Mebane now and the lines at the truck stops are out into the road

.10 and .20 increses here in Hickory and people here at work are saying that stations are running out of gas, and one on hwy 127 (Viewmont) is limiting purchases to 10 gallons.

Amazing...

filled up my Z at 4.09 around 10. went to deliver a part at galloways and on the way home the sa,e spot i filled up at was 4.69..............

I have a solution that WILL work. Lets take over all the oil countries, enslave their citizens, and pump oil to us. Sure NATO and POTATO would make a fuss, but who cares, we control their oil and can just ignore them.

Hey you guys watch out for the bikes on the road! Dont hit me. I still got to figure out the gearin on this thing so I can pull my jeep around! lol Damn crooks!

That is ridiculous. That station owner is padding the heck out of his wallet.

Yea, that guy has had his diesel at $4.69 for a while now. 2 miles down the road it was $4.05 for a little bit. It was up to $4.09 this morning. I'll be interested to see what they've "jumped on the gravy train" and raised it up to this afternoon.

Gate at Battleground/New Garden STILL at 3.58 and people are going nuts.

Idiot lady STOP in the entrance, 10-15' of room in front of her, waiting on the ONE pump in that corner of the station, literally she has traffic backed up 1 mile!

I swing around her and come IN the exit, give her some HORN, and various hand signals and then drove easily over to the OTHER 20 pumps she could have gone to and waited.

I wait all of 15 seconds, miata pulls out, I gas up and go just as she FINALLY moves fwd and pumps. They should allow you to hand out STUPID tickets and if 10 of your fellow citizens register one on you, they yank your license for a month or two.

So, with that said, my 35mpg DD has enough to last me now for about a week and half. Hopefully the craziness will be over by then.

for the record...I don't buy from that BP station. Webb, is right, they've been at $4.69 a gallon for diesel for a while now. Apparently our parent company thinks it's a great idea to ONLY deal with BP...the new Exxon station HAD diesel at $4.0(?) a gallon just a little bit ago, but they gouge you on bottled drink prices.

Cops are out in T'ville directing gas traffic, Racetrac or Raceway on 311/old 85 is almost out, & I filled up the Focus @ 3.93 (because I usually gas up on Friday's anyway for the weekend).

It's as high as 4.49 in High point......people are going nuts over this.:poop:

We'll see how it pans out Monday.....anyone wanna buy a '79 Bronco?

D

this is rediculous! the walmart on 150 in winston was slam packed and the lines for gas all over spill out into the streets.

from the article:

Easley said in a statement. "Wholesale gas prices are up less than 20 cents a gallon over the last few days. Therefore, consumers should not see prices rise substantially more than this rise in the wholesale price."

The price of a gallon of regular gas shot from $3.79 to $4.39 overnight at a Texaco station on Arendell Avenue in Zebulon. The station manager didn't provide a reason for the sudden increase, except to note that he would have to pay $5.32 a gallon for his next shipment.

Attorney General Roy Cooper said Friday that such jumps need to be investigated as possible price gouging.

“People are understandably frustrated that already high gas prices are rising so quickly," Cooper said in a statement. "I encourage gas stations to avoid panic price increases and consumers to avoid panic fill-ups."
