The creek is only 8 feet wide, and there is a huge drain pipe across the creek in front. I thought of running the cable under the truck to a tree behind me, but there is hard pack sand behind my rear tires about 2 feet above it. I may break the cable, or something else if i try it. I have never been in a place this bad ever. And my freinds all TJ's, and they cant get enough traction. I have an old 5 ton hand crank winch off a 1950's tractor that would surely do it, but my 2500 dodge with little skinny street tires wouldn't make it through wet grass, and the TJ just gets dragged backwards. There is really no way other than pulling from above and back.
Why can you not winch forward and then spin around to do it again. after three days I would have burnt the winch up trying something. Maybe some pics of the area and anchor points could help with suggestions. I have some rather strong straps that stretch and create a solid pull if you want to try them. The soonest I could be there to help you would be Sun afternoon but my offroad burb is not running right. My towrig may get to it but if it could get stuck I would not even try it. I am roughly 90 minutes away as well. PM me if you still need the help and I will see what I can do.
