Here's some of my stuff, some hopeful projects other daily drivers when I'm in that mood. I'm not much for paint, I like it the way nature has made it or maybe I just can't afford a real paint job! Either way I never paint any of my old vehicles
1. 66 f100, been trying to buy it for several years from the original owner's son, he finally called march of this year with those words that every true car lover yearns to hear, I'm ready to sell. I prob paid to much but it now has it's for ever home.
2. 57 Belair 2-door sedan, my wife's dream car (I prefer 60's stuff or at least the lines of a 55), bought from the original owners son. His daughter drove it to and from college in the 80's, pretty much sat since then. I surprised her with it in 2011. I'm ashamed to say, it's still setting in the same spot, I keep putting it aside for other projects. The plan is to leave the paint the way it is, slam it, fat tires in the rear on steelies, and a decent small block I picked up off here a couple years back. What can I say, I have an awesome wife!
3. 64 Falcon, 2-door, 6 cyl, 3-spd. Bought this from a customer/friend, his dad bought it new in 64, parked it one day and it sat on the farm until I picked it up. It's crammed away in a storage building awaiting that one day that'll prob never come. (Doc, this is what I bought that Falcon from you for)
4. 70 Chevy van, straight 6, 3-spd. Got this from the same guy as the Falcon. The local news paper bought it new, used it until they upgraded, his wife worked for them so he bought it. It was parked in 2000 on his farm and sat there until I bought it in 2012. The side door had been left open just enough that the chickens could get in/out, luckily a piece of plywood had been put down when it was new so the floor stayed in pretty good shape. I got it running, lowered it, and take it to the auto fair and some cruise ins. We set up with East Coast Cruisers at Charlotte, it sticks out like a sore thumb among the high dollar show cars but no one ever complains, I think it's kinda a staple now. To think, and it was almost scrapped.
5. 64 Impala, straight 6, 2-spd powerglide. I've had it a little over 5 years and haven't done much of anything to it, cut the springs, rallies with vet hub caps, and we're off scrubbing everything in it's path.
