Hot rods, street rods, muscle cars and old trucks

yea...the Covid deal burnt a lot of folks. I wouldn't be mad if they consolidated the swap meet outside just so I wouldn't have to walk 12 miles to see everything. Make sense they would want to keep all us riff raff outside the track anyway. Felt like they were aiming for the cars and coffee crowd inside with all the car clubs, the Smith Heritage car event and the Ford Driving experience.

I know @ramjo had fun at the Smith Heritage display trying to make sure my buddies son didnt lay across the hood of a $2,000,000 Ferrari F40.
The covid deal pissed off a ton of people, dumping the blue infield did as well...

Was visiting a friend last weekend and this is his STI swapped VW Bus he’s been building.

Does he happen to be a geology professor at UNCC?

No, he is a retired private pilot. But I knew a uncc professor back in the day that had a few VW buses or actually those bus truck things. I went to school with his daughter and can’t think of their last name for the life of me.

Can't afford an old Mopar so I did the next best thing. Some people don't like these but I love them.
Have you ran from the cops yet?

Been home visiting my parents for a week. Spent some quality garage time helping my dad with his ‘55 ford wagon. Getting the rack and pinion dialed in a bit. It’s a work in progress but it’s cool to help my old man in the shop.
It has the original 272 YBlock .030 with a T-Bird four bbl intake from a 312 YBlock. Holley 4 bbl. Trans was swapped from the old slush box Ford O Matic to a FMX 3spd auto from a mid seventies mustang. Grenada spindles for discs up front.
Dad and I got this car when I was in middle school and started but school, life, and me leaving for the army got in the way. About 2 years ago he started back at it as time and money permits. I haven’t been home in 7 years so it was the first time I’ve seen it in person with the progress. It was pretty damn cool. I even got to drive it around the yard a bit lol.

Howdy, fellas. We picked this brute up from the emerald isle a few summers ago. It's my 3rd chevy, but first 454, nv4500, dually. 94k. Didn't notice the starter issue at first, because I hadn't had an oldie in awhile, so my common sense was asleep, lol. Anywho, po mech could charge $, and get nice lookin parts, but the follow thru was terrible, as I found a brand new starter installed, and positive lug on starter over tight, lmao, bit smdh at the same time.
