you could try WD 40 to soften up the adhesive.
careful with the carb cleaner/ brake clean. it may mess up the paint you want to keep.
why no just leave it on, IF the new rockers cover it up.
No way brake cleaner or carb cleaner is going to mess up a factory paint job. I would try the heat gun though as was said.
But why remove them? all of the superstrong axleshafts and tubing is made from chrome. It's way stronger than the psc sliders.
Borrow Erik's tranny removal winch.

Wait until dead of winter -20 degs.. peal up a corner and heave ho.. pop right off np..
is it a decal if so you can get a eraser the go on a drill and you can rub it off works great I had decal all over my dodge Ram and that is how I did it.
