hummm

What are you going to do with all the engine wiring and stuff (computer)? I figure I may shove mine in a box or something and seal it up. I also wonder if mine will work w/o alot of the sensors and stuff that were on the auto tranny.
you will have to use most of the sensors,I'm going to put everything in a long ammo can(brand new can from burden surplus is like $15-$18)I'm going to wire it up at the end of the week and start it up to hear it run,(might motivate me a little more to finish it)

Gm powersteering pump mounted backwards for the full hydro steering
skid pan

I went and looked at this today thats one bad a$$ buggy. You do a hell of a job on that stuff. Its got more room in it then what it looks like.

got bored this evening,so i decided to start wiring it,,OH my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a bunch of wires,i had to quit,i was getting dizzy..LOL

I'm gonna go delete your FS ad. It's close enough to the Jan 1st that you just need to keep it and finish it.. :flipoff2:
Thanks,Mike,Had all the club members stop by last night and we got a lot of work done............:beer::beer::beer::beer::they got me motivated again on the buggy..Thanks NC Buggies & Truggies.

Had a blast last nite NOW GET TO WOK

YAGER if you run across another FS ad for his buggy just go ahead and delete it .

This buggy is so sick. This style seems a little more budget friendly than converting a vehicle to a trail rig. If you don't mind, how much would someone be looking to spend (ball park estimate) to build something like this?

Thanks,
i dont think its cheaper, theres no "platform" to work off of,i can build a toyota pickup cheaper than full tube chassis buggy.
for one theres no steering box,so hydro front and rear steering has to be done, build the chassis, and link it/air shock/coilovers have to be bought.lots of things go into a build compared to a running toy/jeep,etc,that is just highly modified.
no matter which a person chooses, build their truck or go full buggy, both are not cheap.
to build another like this,no labor included,it would be around 6500,8500.00..thats chromo axles new tires/wheels,shocks hydro setup, and all new parts.

Well its half wired, motor spins over, fuel pump is making some noise, injecters are pulsing!!!!.with a bit of patience it will be running this weekend:bounce2:

ITs ALIVE,,have enough of it wired so it will run,now i just have to shorten and lenghten some wires to place computer, fuel pump etc were i want them

Looks good Jim, I really was impressed with this thing in person last night. Glad you got it running, now come run some ECORS stuff with it.....

Thanks Snappy,Thanks for dropping off that shock,i will try to get it done for the ECORS race, just have to see how the $$ is.

well,,,,,,the wiring will be finished tomorrow, throttle cable came yesterday(has the wrong fitting, needs to be a 1/4 barrel, and they sent me a small slug for a motorcycle carb:shaking:
hydro lines next week and the the tranny is off to get disassembled and get the diff welded.

With all these open invites im ready to get this done:beer:

well i thought i fried the ECU,but with the help from Fran, and Kelly,i found that my injectors were clogged from sitting.
i started it today and ran it for 45 min and it ran great with no codes:bounce2:
im hacking away trying to make the race,i bought my cable from here http://secure.dnihost.net/mtcatalog...&Product_Code=ThrottleCable&Category_Code=SSP
make sure you get the one with the 1/4 inch barrel..it will fit the honda perfect,

hydro lines finishes(except for the rear),brakes are plumbed,in working order...another day or so there will be a test ride then it will be tore apart down to bare chassis,
still have to build a gas pedal
go threw the axles
re mount the panhard bars(i dont like were their at)
and a bunch of misc stuff that drives you crazy..LOL

Yea the "bunch or misc stuff" will definetly drive you crazy... I am just a little bit behind you, but my problem is work is getting in the way of buggy, wish I could take a month off to work on it and be sure it's finished for the race.

You need to post some new pics though :D
