hummm

after getting a tow back to the garage(thanks Chris Baldwin) .Burned out,and frustrated.i talked to v8pickup.he walked me through a couple of potential issues and come to find out, when i took the rear drive shaft out and replace the u joint i didnt get the shaft installed all the way back into the transaxle,so i pushed it back in till the snap ring clippped in and POW,its fixed.with the transaxle spiders not locked it wouldnt move,so off to get them welded soon, but its still fun to drive with an open transaxle and open front/rear diffs
heres a pic after it was towed back, theres a bag over the computer at the back of the buggy, has 36 tsl on it @ 108 wb

wheeled it for 2 hours, mostly easy, all nuts and bolts either wrong size/loose and rattling around, still open trans axle, open thirds, shifts into gears so good my neck is sore..LOL.I hooked the A/C wire from the computer to a toggle switch(acts like a hand throttle).i love the flat 3/16 belly, slide over anything with no worries.0-40mph is crazy, and its got more, this is so much fun:bounce2:i currently have 3;90 gears in it and it crawls pretty good,@125hp and 137ft lbs torque its got more than enough to run off the trail and:kaioken:im guessing @ 6500 rpm its top speed would be around 55mph
time to tear it down and go through everything and re assemble it

its in pieces..:shaking:
been very busy doing other much needed things, wont be back together for a few weeks.i still need to find someone to take apart the transaxle so i can weld the spiders.

my lazy butt is getting just enough done on it to bring it to the BDB farm event on the 30th,i did accomplish getting it to the point of running it pretty hard last weekend, and it is a blast to drive, very responsive, tons of low end torque(even with 3:90s in the axles)I'm afraid to see what the top speed this thing will go.60 plus?
It articulates very well with my 9 inch 1294 dirt late model coil overs on all 4 corners.very stable.front springs ended up being QA1 14inch 80lbs,with the rear 250lb_(rears alittle stiff)
rear steer is the BOMB!!!!
Transaxle is coming out this weekend to get locked.will get a quick video before i tear it apart on sat.

pic was taken saturday, just before it was completely taken apart to get the transaxle locked.i took the trans apart and WOW,what a lot of confusing parts and pieces..LOL
It took about 4 hrs to disassemble weld the spiders and reassemble it.Time to put the buggy back together

my other 5 yr old son(Dillion) want to start going with us wheeling.
im going to add/build a ......."Capsule"......
basically a very small roll cage with all the saftey stuff..seat ,5 point harness and window net that will bolt to the left side of my buggy.dimensions should be around 14 inches wide,3 ft long.
grade 8 ,5/8 bolts attaching it to the buggy.
Easily removable when he is not going and Dad wants to have fun by himself..LOL

So my single seater turned into a 3 seater

Thats a cool idea...I'm interested to see how your "capsule" turns out. I guess it will officially be a "moon buggy" since it will have a capsule
