I just received word that the old lady was relieved of her duties in the mass Food Lion lay offs. I understand she probably doesn't have the skill set that a 4x4 web site caters to, but she has been handling external communications for Food Lion for 3 years now, she taught private pre-k for 3 years before FL and she has her 4 year degree in sociology. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone know of any certified welding jobs in Charlotte, Shelby, Asheville, Franklin, Murphy or anywhere in between those? My best friend just got cut from the armored vehicle plant in Kings Mtn. He was the head fabrication/design guy there. Sucks because he really enjoyed it but they just didn't have anymore government contracts coming in.

An Archdale based by-product recycling company has an immediate full time opening. Ideal candidates will be mature individuals with loading dock, equiptment repair and maintainence experience.

Primary Job Roles:

1. Assist in the operation of a recycling facility to include heavy equiptment operation and maintainence of hydraulic and mechanical systems.

2. Depackage case goods by hand into individual components

3. Forklift operation

4. General mechanical maintainence of company equiptment to include semi trucks, trailers, mowers forklifts, conveyors etc.

5. Cleaning and maintaining company equiptment to include daily pressure washing.

6. Maintainence of farm plumbing and tank systems.

REQUIRED:

1. A valid North Carolina drivers license and reliable transportation.

2. Must be willing to submit to a drug test and background check.

2. Must be reliable with an established track record and have dependable transportation.

3. Must be able to work 8 to 10 hour days and occasional weekends.

4. Heavy lifting required.

5. Must have a good attitude and work well with others.

PREFERRED:

1. Some experience around livestock and farm type machinery and equipment would be a plus.

2. A CDL drivers license would be a plus but not required.

3. Five years experience in a job with the above requirements.

I love to work. I love what I do and I need someone who shares the same drive as me.

I need you to live reasonably close to the shop.

You will need reliable transportation.

You'll need to know your way around a grinder, air tools, hand tools, broom and have a general understanding of suspension and axles. I'm looking for someone who can be a set of hands. Holding stuff, cleaning parts handing me tools, following my moves and being ready for whatever comes next to keep things moving.

Initially this position will be 2-3 days a week to see how it goes. If you work elsewhere I can be flexible on those days and hours. My normal hours are Monday-Friday 8:30ish - 6:00ish.

I DO NOT WANT

-Someone who thinks they already know everything.

-An employee who expects to work on their own junk if things are slow.

-To teach all day. I need work to get done. I am not looking for someone who expects me to teach them to fabricate. If you learn a few things great.

-you on your phone or texting all day. A call here and there is fine.

JPS in greenville sc is hiring injection molding techs. Must apply through aerotek temp service and work 600 temp hours to be hired. Temp pay is 15hr hire pay is determined once they see what you can do.

Must be self motivated, on your feet 8-12hrs straight besides lunch. Loud environment. Once hired amazing benefits and employee purchase plan is outstanding.

Warehouse Supervisor - Greensboro

I need someone to work under me in a warehouse managing Temp workers and overseeing day to day operations of a retail display company. We design and engineer retail displays then send out for manufacturing of parts. Metal, wood, plastic, graphics and packaging then come back to us to assembly and pack out for shipping. Everyday is something different. It's fast paced most of the time. Everything can change from morning to afternoon. If you can't handle changing direction at a moments notice, don't waste my time.

Responsibilities include and not limited to:
Managing temporary staff
Setting up assembly and pack out lines
Organizing and managing clean up of a warehouse.
Receiving and tracking incoming materials for multiple jobs.
Organizing shipments
Loading and unloading trucks

The environment is hot in the summer, cool in the winter. You're on your feet non stop all day. You need to be able to lift heavy loads. If you speak Spanish, that will be in your favor.

Wood working, welding, and a good understanding of of how to assemble something like Ikea furniture (without instructions) will get you an edge over others.
