You missing his point. The bad shit. The really bad shit happens on greens not reds.
dude seriously stop using other people's mishaps or dumbassery to justify you telling me that i should never step foot on a "green trail" without a properly built rig and properly built cage.
I have a Serious Question FOR ALL: You people are such "nazzis" and "seem to so much care"...why the hell ain't yall lined up at these gates with DMV inspectors and highway patrol to have people taken away if, IF you care so much about the safety of others because of some deuchbag like me? really though, for years you talk so much of safety and family and blah blah but yet it's only on here...
Nobody stopped me from doing Mud Bog races "around sooo many bystanders" with my "deathtrap killing machine"
Nobody stopped me from Green trails, Yellow Trails or hell, even riding around in the parking lot.
And one descent enough guy who builds this stuff for living actually spent time looking at my rig the very first trip thoroughly and confirmed everyone on the internet just rambles on with nothing better to do but freak out over some guys' build. I give him lots of credit for that and for the fact that he lead me around the park following his buggy taking me up trails that wait for it......."that everyone said would be disaster if I went up".....just to find out how full of shit everyone is.
That is how Easy St. and Laurel Lane became my 2most favorite trails...yet everyone telling a guy with locked front and rear XJ on 35s he will not stand a chance on those trails. Again, I would never enjoy this sport or life if I took people as yourselves serious....I like listening to people who gave me advise but WHO ARE REALISTIC!! The guy who I'm referring to pointed out couple weak things to be aware of and until those were beefed up, take her easy but not once was the term "you call this a rig...or you call these welds boy" .....
to conclude: stop telling me on your web wheeling chatter how unsafe my shit is when you have nothing to base your dumb opinion off of. I will take advise and criticism in places where I know i need it or want it from people that I know aren't just telling me cause they're an ass and basing their input off them being a know it all. "I'm just lucky my deathtrap hasn't failed yet" ...........sad to say I could drive this thing for 30yrs from now and you people would still be spilling the same crap...now that's a sorry fact.

I'll get your plates on my time. My actual paying students that desire to learn and Improve are far higher priority than you.
wow there cowboy... i was being funny if you couldn't tell. I could care less honestly if you do or don't. I'm just doing it to shut everyone's dumb ass comments after all these years of talking so much trash without nothing to back up their statements. Sure I'd like to learn....why do you think I accepted your offer? duh...what you think I would do this knowing you and everyone else will just use it as "more" ammo to fire at me...don't care if you do and don't care of if you don't. not being mean but just being real and honest....people talk way to much shit and act like this thing we call "welding" is such a dam dangerous hard to do science and without some proper years of schooling....a deuch can't weld some 3/16mild steel on some control arm or unibody.....really now. I hope to take your tests and shut half of people's crap down....yet why would I even give people that much credit that they would actually stop running their mouth about my "unsafe deathtrap"...then it will be "that steel bumper is thicker than your weld passed john...take it off, its unsafe. You only passed for the little thin stuff"...yeah I'm making fun of all because yall sound so outlandish the way you pick about all this shit..

Good darn thing those Dana 44 universals are a HUGE upgrade over the Dana 30 ones!

But you already knew that. Kudos man!
see can't win with you people. For years everyone said to upgrade to D44 or bigger....then i do and I'm told nope..they suck ass, wrong upgrade dummy.
Yes i know they are the same u-joint but price was good and have bigger gears and according to almost ALL people in this sport, should handle 35s with pretty good abuse...not me, others say this. I personally don't have the faith in them that everyone talks about but whatever, they work they work...surely they will do some swort better than stock axles

Just a thought, maybe since you are in a 6' deep gulley going through mud, you weren't perceived as a threat to bystanders on the high ground.

I do think some folks on here smell blood and go after you for whatever reasons they may have. Myself and many others in my opinion, want to share advice, experience and wisdom with you. Many times that wisdom is returned in a barrage of excuses.

hey just sayin bro...i upgrade and i get put down..with stock axles i get put down. do you see my point of it at least. Took me 18yrs to upgrade axles and gearing which comes with stronger breaks and ball joints and such and I get mocked still...cmon man, just pointing out I will never win with people (Good thing I'm not building this for them)

ha ha ha...i'm sure that's their excuse but the run to get to the starting line.....whew that's a lot of innocent people in harms way..dang should've called the "ghetto fab patrol to spot me"

i guess i could stop my jeep wheeling and do this instead....but wait.......then I would still be told I need a proper roll cage and bigger axles

I was there but failed to see people running to the starting line for anyone's run down the track.
That course wasn't like a race at Talladega where you can't see the back stretch.

Why do you guys entertain this monkey?

You missed an opportunity to learn what an appropriate upgrade would be. Instead you put on your wings and left the handle...
What do you think you can do to upgrade the same failure prone joints that you had on your 30?

John. Again, you missed my point.
I'm not commenting on your rig, build quality or its fitness for the application.

I was pointing out that you said "my wife and kids never ride with me on reds and or yellows only greens " and I am just advising more bad stuff happens on greens than it does on yellows and reds. If your rig is safe for double black diamonds or not it doesn't matter. You (and you doesn't mean John fuller it means everyone here) are more likely to have something really bad happen on green trails than harder lines.

We can debate and analyze the how's and the why's until we are blue in the face. It's just that years of experience have shown it to be true.

But I will say again you haven't been here 4 years. Or even 2 for that matter. So no one on Nc4x4 gas been telling you for 4 years that your rig is a death trap.

I will also question your statement only 18 years w/o upgrading axles. You aren't that old to have loved so long in Romania, to have been a strung out junkie turbo ricer racer and been wheeling 18 years.

Just chill the fawk out man.
You are trying too hard.

well got my first jeep at 16 and been wheeling since....now 34 so i guess my math is bad too right...been addict from age 15-20....grew up in Romania till adopted at age 10...where did it get complicated. Besides it's not the "years" of how long you're a junkie or whatever...but more of the amount in those years. I have wheeled long enough to know what is safe and isn't, point clarified.

Your words say this, but your actions say otherwise.

The same is true for learning.

You claim you want to learn, but when you are presented with peer reviewed and accepted facts and information, you scoff at it, and make excuses why it's inaccurate.

Your words say one thing, while your attitude and actions speak differently.

dang yo, again if I actually took this advise to heart....I'd never make it out wheeling with your kind of standards. Its ok though, i have managed this long with worse builds than this...considering this is the "most proper built" one I've done, I'll be just fine. thanks for your concern though. I'll have to be more cautious on that green green going 3mph next time. Dude stop convincing me or anyone for the matter that worse shit happens in parking lots and green trails....yeah it does cause most people "play around" too much...I HAVE SEEN IT the year that I came and almost every trip I could just see something happening. 95% of accidents can be prevented by not being stupid, fast, careless, show off, drinking/smoking stuff, or just plain doing things not smart (yes even in parking lots and green trail as you say).

actions speak differently.
really?? might rethink what you saying since my builds have never broken according to everyone's "bets" so I have proven with action.
Your words say this, but your actions say otherwise.
and just because I've wheeled for that long, I should be some "proper" to your standard builder...I'm good. Actually the longer I've wheeled is the reason why I trust my work...hell all my control arms and links and such are HUGE upgrade to what i had 8 years ago lol.
