Jonah Michael Proctor UPDATE....Please read my last post

CONGRATS

some real good news. ran by your house today on a test drive. everything looks okay. let me know if you need any help getting vehicles or belongings back to johnston county.

the only good part we had when our second child was in the i/c unit was the nurse got to change all of those stinky diapers (you guys that have kids know how the first couple of months are) lol.

just keep us posted; let us know when you will be coming home. see you soon.

I know how it is having a little one with major issues! I am always amazed at what a difference having your child in good hands can do. Good luck and speedy recovery lil man.

We just got in and I wanted to let you guys know that all is still well so far. Tonight will be tough on us because the next 12 hours is key. If he can stay stable with the sickness of heart surgery then he will start to heal and get better. His chest is still open for heart swelling but it should be stitched up tommorow if everything goes well.
Also Snappy you made us laugh......Thanks
jason lewis you are a good friend, thanks for looking out for me.
Also thanks to everyone for the comments. Im letting Jonah know that you guys are pulling for him and this is truly helping us as well. Thanks guys.
Hopefully the update next will be more definate. So far So good

good news; hope the next update is even better.

Mike, I have arranged a ride home for you and your family when you come home in a limo (THIS IS TOTALLY UP TO YOU, ALL I HAVE TO DO IS CALL HIM). Let me know if you are interested. Thought this would go along good with the helicopter ride and a break for yall. See ya, and good luck and hope the little fellow keeps getting better.

p.s. There is no cost involved for me. The guy is just repaying a favor on some work I performed on his limo.

Mike, I just saw this thread and I'm glad things are looking good. As so many others have offered, anything we can do, just ask. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Today has been a good day because we are seeing Jonah getting better. It will be long journey because he went into surgery quick and a little sickly. With that the recovery is a bit slower and a rollercoaster. He is very normal and doing what they expect. He responds well to medicine and offensive moves to improve him. Hopefully by in the morning his swelling will get better and his heart will be stronger.
Jonah has some bleeding, but that is slowing down as well. Ill post up again with better news tommorow.
Thanks again for the comments guys.

Jason Lewis, your the man. I will definately let You know. Kerry and I like the idea, so I will let you know for sure. My daughter Samantha would love it. Hopefully in a couple to three weeks. Thanks Jason
Everybody have a Happy Easter.

Also my wife and daughter are going home saturday to have Easter. The Easter Bunny will visit Samantha at HOME and that is important to us.
Jonah will have Easter with his Dad and Samantha will be back three or four days next week to soend with us up here.
Thanks Again Guys.....

Hopefully if Jonah goes well tonight. His surgeon will close up his chest in the morning at least before lunch. That will be a good Easter surprise for my wife when she gets back tommorow after church. Thats the first step in the healing process. It proves hes getting stronger and we can see a light at the end of the tunnel. HAPPY EASTER, I feel it will be a good day. This will suck for me though because Im not there to enjoy the Easter Bunny. As long as my daughter is happy Im happy.

I have been in my room across from Duke for 1 hour. The helicopters have brought two people in 45 minutes. I wish my daughter was here tonight to see them so close to us. Now everyone she sees, she says.....there goes Jonah,s helicopter bringing in more sick people. LifeFlight never stops for very long here. There is alot of sick people Im finding out.

Also if any of you guys are on FaceBook. I update there as well with alot of pics. Search for Mike Proctor at Smithfield-Selma High
My wife is also doing Caring Bridge wwww.caringbridge.org......Jonah Proctor
Thanks again guys and have a Happy Easter

all the 4x4grace guys have been praying for him. Great news that he is doing well.

Dont know ya, never met ya but your family is definitely in our prayers.

Jonah had the best day ever. Got his chest stitched up and his heartrate and BP are doing great. Starting tonight with winging him off his pain medicine and sedation. Also start winging him off of his ventilator. Hopefully his breathing tube will be out in a couple of days. Good Days are ahead, we can feel it.
I never thought he would be doing this good after open heart surgery at one week old. As sick as he was and the fact that we almost lost him twice. I never told the whole truth about how sick he was. Hes my little ass kicker and I cant wait to show him off.
Also tonight he is waking up and looking at us when we talk to him.
I will have some happy pics in a couple of days I hope. Stay tuned. YEEEE-HAWWW

Oh also, he has been started on Kerrys pumped breast milk through his feeding tube yesterday. A little at a time.

check the time of my post, i just got home from work. 1 hour ago i was doing cpr on a 4 month old. when i got in my truck to come home and began to reflect on it jonah was the first thing on my mind. i think about the little guy everyday. i love him, just look at all the good he's brought out of the folks on this board in his short lifetime. an nc4x4 legend and not even a month old.
