KOH (post updates and pics here for those that can not stream at work)

I forsee more restrictions in future KOH events. If not, someone will be seriously injured and end up putting an end to KOH. I'd be surprised if BLM allows this type of open comps witout crowd control in the future.

uh yeah, first thing I notice was Casie whining to Shannon about being run over

you would think the other guy would have given him a little more time to get righted tho. the biggest difference between him gettin run over and what happened with will and campbell last year was the fact that this guy was still in the race and not just running it because he was there.

As for Currie getting driven over...hate to say it but thats racing. It was an opening and a competing driver took it. If it was the DQ situation like last year between Campbell and Will then thats another situation all together.

Bang on. Its a race, you get an opportunity you take it. If you're technically still competing and not just showing off then what's a little rubbin?

Edit:I can't believe the freakin' spectators... Someone is going to hurt badly and shut KOH down if they don't rope some stuff off.

I took 800 pics :flipoff2:

As far as the spectators getting hurt...they airlifted one out this year when a rock rolled down the hill and hit them.

We missed the Sledgehammer craziness but thought everything was super well organized, in general. Sounds like lots of club groups are more willing to volunteer next time, so I hope more orange/green vests will help with both the flow of information and keeping people out of harms way.

After seeing the photos and videos, I wondered if maybe the bigger obstacles should be timed trials with only so many on that section of the course at a time...

This can all be solved (and probably will next year) by having us run down that trail instead of up. Not as much for the spectators to get into that way.

I was right there on sledge all day for that little fiasco. I am actually in that video (brown shirt black hat top left of screen}.

It was CRAZY down there. Quite the party scene. As soon as the first car came thru people came running in behind him and the population on that trail trippled immediately. Everybody stormed the "racetrack" and pandamonium ensued. People were hit all day by falling rocks from the drunks walking around above them. I counted at least five people hit while i was there with one dude had a bad arm iunjury and two people got bloody noses and or heads from it. even a doberman got hit.

all that aside, it was f-in awesome and i will def be back next year again.
