So dont know how many of you guys watch UFC but Im out in afghanistan again right now and we get free pay perview(one of the only good things out here).

Lesnar vs. Velasquez fight was AWESOME lets just say that Lesnar wasnt his cocky self after he had a bloody face and gotten his ASS handed to him in 4 minutes in the first round!:bounce2: It was great watching the big boy fall!

he got his ass whooped man. who you with out there?

I'd be pissed if I had paid 55 bucks for a fight that lasted 4 minutes.

You do realize there is more than one fight, right?

None of the matchups were crazy good, but I enjoyed the fights.

Just goes to show that when he finally gets hit hes got a weak chin!He got stunned my a few jabs back and forth I mean really????

I liked the tito and matt hamlin fight also good times!

Yes, but the "main events" (which you do realize are the reason everyone buys the pay per view, right?) never live up to their hype.

eh..the thing about lesner, is he has never lost a rematch. Just like his college record, (105-5) everyone of his losses, he went back and beat. Same with Frank mir. Lesner will learn from his mistakes, refine his technique and come back and man handle Velasquez.

there is a difference between being cocky and confident. I give lesner some credit on his cockiness and showmanship. Keep in mind he is coming from a back ground where the trashtalking and over dramatic dialogues are encouraged. lesner is learning and improving in that aspect, just as he is in his fighting.

give him some time, he'll be a UFC legend.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Ehhh...being the conspiracy theorist I am, I wouldn't put much weight in to it. Professional sports are an opportunity to make money, ie a business. And like all other businesses, things are fixed or at the very least manipulated to make the most money for the bossman. Where is the money if Lesnar dominates everyone he fights? Nowhere, that's where, because that would be boring. He's gotta lose and 'be human' every now and then. And when he is, that adds drama and hype and more money for Part 2.

Its all set up!.. LoL ( Yea i said it, Just talking trash. ) But think about it.. he has to lose some to have that " Big" Rematch fight. its all in entertainment.

That might hold true *IF* Anderson Silva hadn't reigned his weight class (185#?) for the past 2 years...

I think him holding the belt longer creates more revenue... because everyone pulls for an underdog & wants to see him loose (aside from wrecks/injuries, isn't that what fuels NASCAR/NFL junkies? :D)

Personally, I think recognition fuels athletics, not the underdog. You either hate the most recognizable team/athlete, or you love them. You either love the Yankees or hate them, you either love Pats or you hate them, you love the lakers or you hate them. Hell, we're on the east coast, how much Laker memorabilia do you see vs. Portland Trail Blazer stuff. Hell, I'd even bet there's more New England Patriot support in NC than there is Carolina Panther support. In events that don't matter, no one cares about the underdog, underdogs don't make events. Put two guys in the ring that would be an underdog against Lesnar...do you have an event, no. Lesnar makes it an event. Underdogs don't make money plain and simple. Had Lesnar not fought last night, how many guys woulda coughed up the $55 for PPV(because you either wanted to see him lose, or see him win)???? You said it yourself...fans were watching it to see him, as in Lesnar, lose. Had Lesnar not been in the ring, alot less folks would have watched it, and I doubt it would even reach as far as a thread on NC4x4.

i hate to say this(bc i hate Lesnar), but @ Marks age Brock would beat the wheels off him!! Put Taker in his prime, back in his bar brawlin days and there wouldnt be a chance in hell.........

Im sorry gus but I like to not think that UFC is paid off also like many other sports such as the yankess that still didnt make it this year.

There have been several UFC fighters that have held there belts or classes for along time.

Have you actually seen Lesnar get popped with some good hits??Im telling you hes got a weak chin and just like anyone in UFC if you get popped just right your gonna fall or get stunned.

As far as Lesnar getting better i think he did to a point... fights ago but saying hes getting better now i dont think so.He does the same thing try to spear the guy to he ground right off the start and ground and pound because hes huge.I dont see any technique..........

and saying that Lesnar brought the huge crowd and money i disagree with also, these pay per views bring sold out crowds almost every fight for all kinds of fighters.yes, He is cocky but I would say it would be hard not to be cocky in this sport.
