Some of you may remember the first pic from the Vehicles forsale section a couple of weeks back. Since I bought it Ive replaced axle seals, VP44, crank sensor, rebuilt the tcase and rear posi unit and i removed the gay and cheap grill cover and chrome fender trim along with 4 mismatch tires. Ive also done a couple of mods H2 wheels and 315/70 Dynapro MT's and a black grill are the only ones installed in this pic. I have a 3in leveling kit, EDGE juice w/ additude, Air dog 100 and a cold air intake all sitting in the garage. Some factory tail lights, Exhaust and injectors are next on my list

if i were to cut my exaust off my dodge would it be bad for it if i ran it like that for a few days before i put the new 1 on

so my dodge has been looked at by 6 different very experienced cummins mechanics and STILL not fixed my buddy Lee has my truck now and there thinking maybe it wasnt my injectors after all but maybe my cp3........or hopefully just the FCA sensor on the cp3 haha but I know that couldnt be my luck!

Starting to wonder if i got sold this truck for a reason since it started this problem not even 2 months after I got it and when i did buy it it was cranking slow but who knows.

I can assure you Travis did NOT sell you the truck being the reason something was going to go bad. I know Travis very well along with many other members on this forum. For someone to have the intuition that something is going to mess up on the truck within two moths after the sale, is not very likely. He NEVER had any series work done to the truck while he had it, and as you would know after buying it.

It could be the way you have gone about putting performance parts on the truck, but who knows.

Just want to put my 2 cents on that statement.

You have to pay to play

If you have a diesel, it is not a matter of if, but a matter of when you're going to have some expensive fuel delivery issues. It happens to all of us sooner or later if you keep one long enough or have one with any miles on it. When you start throwing a performance parts catalog at the engine, it makes this inevitable fate occur much much sooner. If someone sells you a ticking time bomb, would you not think that this bomb would go off shortly after the purchase? As in a couple week period?

I had it happen to me. Well atleast I'm pretty sure it did. The lift and injector pump went out a little less than a month after I bought the truck. I should have suspected something when it felt a little low on power but didn't think about it till after. Shouldn't really blame the last guy but it sure does make you wonder sometimes. Hey we could buy hondas and put fart cans on em, atleast they don't have the power to break stuff lol.

NCcummins calm down man I wasnt bad mouthing travis,he has always anserwed any questions I have had about the truck its just that it did start happening right about a month after I bought the truck i hadnt added or messed with the truck AT ALL then, shoot I couldnt spend any money then at all I was paying the truck payment.I was just saying it crossed my mind sometimes but i do know how my luck goes with most projects I have owned and I get alot of "man i have never seen this problem before" from expert mechanics haha and it looks like Im there again with this thing.

That being said I replaced injectors that wasnt it,a very well know expert cummins mechanic said it was ecm,my injectors were only putting out 2.6 volts so i replaced the ECM and it threw out some different codes but still a no go.,im bout ready to be done with this thing been in the shop for 3 weeks and lots of guys looked at it no one knows.

just gets me down.

It's all good man that wasn't intended to be said in a bad way, just what I thought about the comment before that's all. I know what you mean about the problems with vehicles, I seem to have that same kind of luck.

I can't believe that no one has been able to figure out exactly what is wrong with the truck. That doesn't make sense. Give Scott a call and Buchanan and Young Dodge in Burnsville and let him know what exactly it is doing. It will at least give you another persons advice on the situation. It's either Scott or Adam who does the work on my truck and Scott is very experienced in Cummins.

Hope you get it figured out man!

I've beat the bed all to hell on my Dodge in the past year so now it's time to give it some luvin. I wen't to Hickory and picked up a set of 19.5s and the 225s that were linked here from Craigslist. I'm going to have the wheels milled and sandblasted/powder coated black.
I still need the dually hubs for the front and to build a flat bed.
