Where would you suggest to get some media blasting done in or around Wake County? Looking for frame blasting and tub blasting. Thanks.

Crap- there's a guy not far from you at all I talked to when I was doing (what's left of) my body tub..

I found him in the yellow pages, nice guy. Can't remember even his name though, sorry.

Rich: Thanks, maybe someone else will chime in. And thanks for all your input on this board...I learn alot from your posts!

I built one from an 11 gal air tank from home depot You can get the gun from there also. Mine works awesome.I welded a
1 1/2 inch coupling to the top of the tank with a 1 1/2 plug to add sand. I'll add an actual photo later. and using an actual air tank that is rated for 200psi i didnt add the blow off valve cause my compressor only goes to 125psi.

Its the county where RALEIGH is, its the capital you know.

We deal with a guy who travels doing Soda blasting. He does an EXCELLENT job and will come to where you are.

His name is Doug and his # is 704-622-1340

Thanks for all the helpful information! I have almost got my tub pulled and almost ready for some blasting. Thanks!

I second the soda blasting. Doug cleaned off a NASTY axle for me and it came out pretty much spotless and he showed up to the shop to do the work, no having to haul somewhere.

Yo,
There's a guy north of Raleigh that advertises in Craigslist for blasting. I think its sand blasting. Search the cars/trucks parts section, Raleigh area.

getting some guys lined up to go in on the price of the glass bead for when i do mine. will be done in clover, sc. let me know if i can help.

Here are some pics of the final product!
works awesome! I am putting a 1 1/2" ball valve in the coupling to make loading it easier. you can adjust the regulator betweem 7-12psi depending what media you are using. I put a valve in the sand line so when you are not blasting you can shut off the flow of sand.
