Lots of interesting news today

Never understood how elected officials don't show up to vote. The vote should not happen unless everyone is present. They are elected to vote on measures. It is their job.
Based on the bold text above, they would never vote on anything that they disagreed on.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

didn't read bc blocked at work, but let me guess - set of twins married another set of twins.
Kids are legally cousins but genetically same as brothers,
See, I told you there'd be a redneck somewhere who knew the deal..

"He said fortunately, nobody was hurt and the arches are still under warranty."

How long is the warranty on something like that?

IDK, but I see this was covered as Breaking News...

So, when they cracked one of them during install, they just decided to glue it and screw it... 🤔 Sounds legit...

Yea...all votes only happen with full attendance. Things started going sideways, then the shaming for not being there to vote will start.

Or they respect the people that voted them in and just do their job and quit getting wasted at lobbyist lunches and missing the afternoon vote.

I dream.

How about they just don't vote on anything and leave us tf alone?! Now that would be awesome 😎
Voting is required to pass a budget that allows government funded activities to happen.
You like having an army? How about a court system?

A) Much smaller than what it is now, but yes. That vote should take half a day.

B) no.
It takes just as long to vote on a small budget as a big one :flipoff2:

Let's just compromise and have state militias and don't bother with the federal bullshit.
thats still gonna require votes to fund those militias, just at the State level.

The fact is if you're going to have any government activity at all, you have to have a funded budget and you need a vote to pass the budget. [I'm assuming we prefer this decision not being made by a single person]

Whether its a big government with lots of overreach or a tiny faction that does 1 thing, this is the rate limiting step.

You could technically get away with 1 vate a year, no new laws... this has to be it. Gotta pass a budgetary plan.

I feel like the demons are about to be released
Not a bad idea. Wonder how true this statement remains once we are extracting terawatts from it though?
