I found out mine had expired when I went to buy some Sudafed last month. I still haven't been to the DMV because 1/2 day of my life.

^This. I happened to check a few weeks before my license expired and there was an appointment two days later at 7am at the office near my work. Jumped on it. The line there had people at the front who looked like they had literally camped there. It was pathetic. Almost felt bad to skip ahead of everyone when they called the appointment people because by chance I happened to look online at the right moment and snag an appointment.

Same for me. No appts for months but kept checking a one appeared and I went.

Mine expired right before a cruise they I also was flying to, luckily greensboro has or had? A walk up one still downtown. Rode by it everyday working and one day there was no line. Lucked up.

There have been way too many plane crashes over the last few weeks, it seems.

Yeah, I'd seen some distant-security-cam kinda video, but that one @CLRracer posted is what I expect in this day and age.

Almost looks like they hit a snowbank or something with the wing, and maybe had a bit of a stall right before landing which dropped it pretty hard and overwhelmed the landing gear? Who knows. Regardless, friggin amazing nobody died.

No major incidents since 2009. Now 4(?) in a matter of months.

I'm glad we're trimming the FAA bc we clearly don't need them :laughing:
 
All this about a plane on its lid and no one brought this to the table?? For shame.

You can renew once online. Next time has to be in person.

what I do look like, a piloteer?
As far as I'm concerned thats between some guy in a tower wit ha cool headset and a guy with his hands on a stick and cool sunglasses, and my job is to stay tf out of their way.
