My family and myself wanted to thank everyone for the love and support on Saturday. We have been going through the toughest thing any parent could every have to do. We have be blessed with many different "families" that we are or have been part of from you guys to travel basket ball to the shoot world that have reached out with love and support.

I realized Saturday that Mason has missed a huge part of something that meant/means so much to me in this offroad family. I have friends that I had not seen in years and it was as if we had seen each other last week. Mason was truly blessed to have the same type of friends that I have made over the years. He had 6 buddies that this Covid mess has been a blessing for. They have found the outdoors fishing daily or build a trail system here at the house, or riding the 4 wheelers that they may not have if the where not forced to social distance or as like to say go back to the old ways.....

The hardest part for me has been the fact that we had made transition to peers in convos about fishing, working his Jeep or shooting. This is the goal of any parent to get to that point. We will get through this and you guys will see us on the trail soon with Austin as he wants to learn how to offroad as that was one of the many things his brother wanted to get in to. Basketball has been life but fishing and outdoors is a new goal so we will be supporting him in these new goals as a way to heal as a family.

Thanks everyone for the love and support and I will be back on here more as I realized what all you guys mean to me even if I don't get to the trails like I once did.

You continue to amaze me buddy. Talking with you this weekend you really are more worried about Mason’s friends and everyone else in your family than you are about yourself. You are such a good person and I am glad we may get to see you around here more often.

Chris, few people have given so much of themselves TO this group. So many times we think IF we give we SHOULD receive. You never did that. You never looked for a return on any investment you made. You gave/give with no expectation of return. That's what makes you so very special. And also what makes it so compelling for everyone to be there FOR you.

You are an amazing person. I wish I could do more.

There's ALWAYS an open seat for you, and your family. ANYTIME!!

This is so true. One thing I will add don't forget to take care of yourself.

Thanks guys. I am taking care of my self in my own way. I have gone back to work to keep myself busy, but still making ample time to be there for Jess and Austin as Strader is now living with his mother at Camp Lejeune. My shooting is my release for now, being able to just focus for 30-60 seconds and nothing else to think about for that time is what is helping me.

I cant expand on that.

I'm not going to lie, after the speech on Saturday and just looking around at all the people that were there and all the support I almost shed a tear. I've been out of wheeling for a long time and had completely forgot just the kind of people there are on the site and wheeling community. For the first time being around this community in over 10 years, I'm going to tell you it was very humbling to see the "brotherly love" shown.

Snappy we've only met once about 15 years ago, and I'm sure it doesn't have much meaning coming from just some random dude on the forum, but just like anyone else here would say, if you need an ear to bend, about anything, I'm available (a lot after breaking my back and neck, I'm at home all the time), if you need to just sit down and have a beer, pepsi, whatever your poison may be, I like many others would be glad to just sit and talk. Stay strong brother, don't be afraid to ask for emotional support if you need it.

I haven't been active on nc4x4.com in a while, but I'm always lurking.

I always use NC4x4 as an example of what real, down-to-earth, high quality people are. I can't tell you how many times, when I lived in NC, I would post on here asking for help and would instantly get responses offering assistance.

Snappy is the epitome of this.

Chris, I'm sorry for your loss. You and yours are in my thoughts. You lent me a hand more than once. If there's anything you need, please ask.
