love working on a sunday night :)

Its Sunday night and I'm doing "work" at home right now, reviewing something for a presentation tomorrow and working on a paper. Prob will 'til ~12-1 or so.
But at least I'm at home on the couch.

Just now got done fixing a windows server. No antivirus. Last backup tape was run in 2004. They used it to check email and poke around on the Internet. HDD errors, a mass of viruses and malware. Overheating with dust-clogged processor heatsink.

30+ hours in it since Friday.

i have to run the night shift tomorrow night so i get to stay up all night tonight. luckily im a season behind on sons of anarchy so im playing catch up

I gave up being a popo for that exact reason. Working weekends and nights! Now I'm 8-430 mon-fri, and the occasional OT.

Sent from my microwave using a teleportation device.

I have to work every other weekend, Fri, Sat and Sun, 12 hour shifts, leave home at 5pm, get home at 8am.
Quitcher whinin LOL

Sounds like you and I are on the same schedule, except that mine also rotates Day and Night shift once a month.

2-2-3 Schedule is rough stuff, but the 3 day weekends are nice.

Is there a diff in weekend and weekday?? Hell they all just seem to blurrr together after ya work em non stop without one of those end days off!! It aint :poop: but im somewhat young

From feb till oct i work every weekend and atleast 6 days a week usually seven at the great BMS setting up for the spring races and all the drag events then the fall races i average 80hrs a week min during fall races last two checks were 98hrs one week and 88the next week awesome money but brutal labor and chaotic drunken race fans which i love that part thats why i do it prolly lol...

For 2 yrs I worked Fri and Sat nights 3pm-7am industrial maintenance, Then a second job during the week 9am-6pm mechanic and OT at both when needed that's why I haven't been able to do anything except hang out online. But now I work Sun-Thurs nights 9pm-6am industrial maintenance and currently looking for a second job. But atleast I have my weekends free now...lol

Except for the last couple of weeks I've been working either 8pm to 8am Monday to Sunday, or 12am to 12pm Monday to Sunday. (84 hrs, 7 days a week)

I just got "upgraded" to a 16 day on/5 day off schedule(12 hour shifts) Before this rotation I worked 50+ days(12 hour shifts) with 2.5 days off after day 23. I worked Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years. Holidays? What are those?
I honestly hate the weekends, because I know most people are out having fun and relaxing while I'm still at work. Plus stores/restaurants change their hours up. Most days I have to look at a calender to make sure I know what day it is. The money's good though, so it's worth it I guess.

I tell ya...I had a nice cushy 8-430 (or whenever I wanted to leave) job...I was offered a management promotion at the first of the year...and while most of my day may be behind a desk, I'll take physical strain over mental strain any day. It's taking some getting used to the 5a-7p hours every day, plus 4-8 hours Sat/Sun (from home) as well. They tell me I can leave at 230...but they also say salaried positions work until the job gets done. The common response is, 'that's why they pay you the big bucks'...if you want to go actual hours vs. salary, most folks don't realize I get paid less an hour than they do.

I have to milk cows every sunday from 430 am to 7 pm (I get a break from 10 till 2) the mexicans work 6 days a week sunday is their day off. I like the extra hours but i hate giving up my saturday night.
