Awesome! So glad all of ya'll are coming! This Show (Jamboree) is turning out to be really BIG!
Thanks so much for all your support!
We have appox. 26 acres directly across the street from the Eldorado Outpost to use as well as a couple of acres in front of the Outpost. We are saving the usual trailer parking for... well ...the usual trailer parking!!
Just signed on http://www.NCAutoInc.com
Super excited about them coming. Great people and a great used Jeep dealer - check them out! They are becoming our Main Sponsor!
Looks like we will even have Army recruiters there with some Humvees on display too!
Confirmed today! The AIR National Guard out of New London,NC will be at the Jamboree with Humvees - NOT the US Army.

Thanks for the info Scott.
I've committed myself to this weekend for your event. So, ECORS will be there with a booth. I hope to have the TV and video up and going for promotional support, etc.
Either way, I'll be there at least with an ECORS shirt on handing out flyers.

1st Annual Uwharrie Jamboree sponsored by UORTC.com

Vendors. 4x4 dealers, 4x4 clubs, USDA Forest Service, trail rides, food and more!

Camping? Is there going to be camping at the Horse Stables? Are the campgrounds going to be open? Camping somewhere else?
There is lots of camping available in the Uwharrie National Forest. You can also try UwharrieAdventures.com, UwharrieCabinRentals.com
Camping on the site of the Jamboree is only available to Vendors setting up all weekend and Volunteers. Thanks-

We have camped at Uwharrie Stables many times, Johnny is usually very hospitable and generally leaves you alone. He charges $5 per person per night, but has porta johns, and if you get on his good side there are even some bunk houses available and regular bathrooms for a pretty fair price.

As of now, I am planning to come up friday morning, and stay until early afternoon saturday, I will try to make my rounds and talk to everyone and hopefully hit a few of the trails.

Yes - They stay open year round. They take reservations and might already be filled up. There is also the "Group Camp" for larger groups/families.
Call 910-576-6391, ask for Melissa (Operator) for reservations. As "XJfreakHO" said - Johnny is a good option too! Then if all that fails you can pretty much camp "just about anywhere" in
the Forest unless there is a sign saying "No Camping" but that will be totally primative. I personally like Art Lilly Campground, it was designed specifically for us OHVers. It is located at the
end of FR516 on Falls Dam trail.

A list of campgrounds/camping areas/cabins:

Badin Lake Campground
Badin Lake Group Camp
Arrowhead Campground
Art Lilley Memorial Campground
Hunt Camp
Deep Water Camp
Yates Place Camp
Uwharrie Adventures/Stables
Uwharrie Cabins

Some of the campgrounds have reservations that you can make online:

http://www.recreation.gov/camping/B...ntractCode=NRSO&recAreaId=1045&agencyCode=131

(keep in mind they list all the campgrounds for NC, reference the list above to their list to see which ones are Uwharrie based)

I would think the trails wouldn't be much more crowded than any other opening weekend. If anything all the activities etc associated with the Jamboree will keep people busy enough that it should balance things out.
x2

Well sounds awesome and since I'm home on terminal leave now and nothing to do I should be there lol! Could I bring this 4wheeler I have to sell? might even put a for sale sign on the yota there :)

You sure can! I would appreciate it if you would pay the "Swap Meet " fee. $50 for the weekend. You would be able to camp beside your stuff for free too. All weekend long - from Friday morning til Sunday night.
