[Mar 30, 2012] 1st Annual Uwharrie Jamboree (Troy, NC)

Well I got my gooseneck hitch in and got the camper/hauler hooked up tonight.....I think I might bring the toyota down and put it there for sale. Question is if I pay the 50 bucks and want a few friends to camp with me, can they also? Also my gooseneck is 32' pulling it with my crew cab Dodge but I heard the spot are only 30' long so how would that work??

It really sucks I have to work. I hope you guys take lot of pix and post em up.

Any word on how its going so far? I'm thinking about riding up in the am.

I had a good time out there yesterday. Just coming in on 109 as we approached the event it looked more crowed and bustling than Ive ever seen it. Lots of things to do and see without even hitting any trails.(We drove the wifes car) It was great to see alot of folks. Plenty of vendors and food too. I expect next years event to be even bigger than this year. I'm guessing the rain slowed things up a bit, but still a nice turnout. Thanks Scott Fields and all the clubs ,vendors, and everyone else...We had fun!

We just got home! Got out there friday afternoon about 6:30 and got to Meet Scott and talk to JC about where I should park to try out my new camper and try to sell the yota lol! It was a good time and got to meet alot more NC4x4 guys and new people. The swap meet wasnt much but I think the rain may have killed it. I got to ride with Chris(Marsfab) in the yota he built that he had bought back to take out on its maiden voyage for him anyways lol and thanks To Chirs(cltba) for letting Alex and my bro ride with him in his jeep! Had a great time thanks to Scott Fields and the guys from Carolina trailblazers setting it all up!

Oh and thanks to Shawn i FINALLY got some NC4x4 swag lol!

I think it was a great success! Yes the rain scared off some but it was still a lot going on and so much to see and do. Seen a lot of familiar faces and some new ones. Vender turnout was very impressive! Scott Fields should be happy with the way a first annual event turned out, He did a great job organizing and coordinating a lot of details. The volunteers were spot on! I look forward to the next year!

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents, We had a great time as far as the event Scott did a wonderful job with the event and is also an awesome guy to talk to. It was nice to meet alot of the NC4x4 mods face to face out there aswell as some of the members. We look forward to next year and can only imagine how much better the event will be next time around.

I didn't get to ride any, but the camping was top notch and I ate a lot of good food. As always, I met a few new folks and got to see a bunch of my old friends... even YHDG... more than once. :shaking:

Saw the usual faces and chatted, JC, YHDG, Eli, and a few new faces, wheeled friday, did a little wheeling saturday, got a bbq sammich and a dog from YHDG, no breakage over the weekend, so can't complain.

Thanks to Scott, and all the volunteers that made this possible. The event went great!
I'm looking forward to next year already.

Nice getting to meet so many great people in such a short time.

YHDG, I'm not sure which I like better the bbq sammich's, or your hot dogs.

Thanks to everyone that made this possible including all the dealers, vendors, clubs, volunteers, and attendees. I am just wondering where are the pictures/videos? I wasn't able to get any pictures of the Jamboree itself, and didn't make it out on the trails either. So let see em!

I got ready to snap some photos on saturday, and realized I left my battery for my slr at home on the charger. :(

Scott,
Thank you for bringing this together.
We, the community, are the future of our sport and we need more leaders like you to to bring us together and make our collective presence felt.

The only photos I got were of the fire on Saturday night.

I had the camera for a while on Saturday, but never got around to actually taking any pictures.
