And I believe rookie school counts as credit hours towards a 2 year degree. So you’ve only gotta get a few more credits for the associates degree.

I don't know of any agencies local to me requiring a degree to be an officer, but do know of a few requiring higher education for advancement.

No not in NC. Only a High School diploma is required. Most departments will pay a higher salary if you have a 2 or 4 year degree.
