my new crawler hauler build

got my steps yesterday. they fit and work awesome, just need to burn them in this weekend. my only problem is that they sit right in front of the rear wheels and kinda low. they may be torn off but we will see.

i am thinking more about the stiff leg corner supports. after more consideration it seems to me that with the trailer flexing more a the corners it may cause even more distortion in the camper in the unlevel fields.

picss of the steps to come.......

I need to take a pic of my steps.. did you get ones like mine?
if so from where I need a second set for the other side

Very cool...

yep, very similar to yours except mine are a 4 step system with 27" of total drop. they were right at $200.00 plus shipping from an online RV parts house. i will get you their name this weekend after I review the receipt.

looks great.. so where you taking it since it is all loaded up?
i was taking it for its maiden voyage down the highway to see if it was tied down well and make sure it didnt soundlike it was gonna fall apart inside at 75 mph.

Can't hide Money! Well, you can if you carry a safe with you!

a little piece of mind while on the trail is priceless

That is bad a$$.

thanx, wait till you see the bitchen LCD tvs and inside outside audio sytem installed, as well as the PS3 for blueray and dvd dutes and a super high tech alarm system all going in next week at the stereo shop next to 4WP.

more build pics to come, i hope to be 100% complete by next weekend and testing it. I need to redirect my focus on putting herbie back together again for the next race. at least ill be comfy at night!

do you think those steps will get hung up on anything?

maybe make them where they can swing up on the deck?

or just be extra careful about what you drive over/through...

ive got my fingers crossed, i am going to be extra carefull and if they last I will add them to the other side. as it sits now they have about 18 inches under them in the closed position.

I uses this thing at the BDB Farm event. Man it sure was nice to not have to pitch a tent when I got there.
We enjoyed all the gadget upgrades and I learned I need a quieter generator for this thing. my water pump is leaking so i need to adresss this before my next trip out. I also learned to fire up the fridge the night before. I will get some pics up soon.

My ford pulled the combo well and i got a awsome 7.8 MPG pulling that beast.

Sure was fun sitting outside, looking through the windows, playing playstation.

I bet folks walking by saw us pointing controllers at the camper and were like..wtf?

That was cool and the air conditioner was saweet!

Any more updates or pics?

Best picture that I liked was on page 1, toilet mounted on wall! I guess that Greg is always in a hurry no matter what he does! ROFL! Looks good man and the AC was nice at the Farm.
