idk my harness hasnt made it back yet, iam in no rush... new toy got my attention right now

Iam back in the game. Had step back/out for a while. I have a new rig in the works. Simple lil truck, ill do a thread on at some point. But this truck will make a 3rd build, it's not scrap bound or dead to the world.

Well I guess you could say the scrap yard gods blessed me with a epic (to me anyway) find. I hauled some scrap off Monday to make a few free dollars for another Roark order. As I pull in I see the white crew cab setting to the side, same thought as usual 2wd.... Then I look again and see the lock outs! I nearly drove off into the appliance pile. I couldn't believe it, a freaking 60 at the scrap yard. I unloaded 1600lbs of random junk like I just powered through a 8 ball of coke while funneling a half gallon of red bull! After asking four other ppl I finally got a answer about buying the axle. Only bad part was I didn't have time to get it then, had to come back the next day after work. Longest work day I think have ever had.... Had it out in about 30 min, still in shock the whole time. I made $146 the day before, handed the lady $200 for the 60 and did the scrap yard shuffle all the way to the truck.
This re-build won't go into full swing just yet, I have a few things to button up on some other projects but none the less its game on. I will keep a eye open for enough stuff to set it back on tires though, just seeing it setting on rubber and not on blocks will be a much better feeling. You have no idea the regret this part out has brought on. I purposely moved the truck back into sight of my every day life as a reminder. STUPID! Lol.

Few things that seemed strange was that its a srw front but the truck had a drw set up, and the axle shafts are missing from the 60. Later I figured the drw was added by a PO.? And the axles were removed long ago because a pinion bearing starting going bad. The hubs and axle tubes have plastic caps pushed in them to keep out dirt/water.

That's one heck of a find sir!!
